The Company I work for, my boss is very big into Hunting. I was wondering if he needed an FFL to have ammunition shipped to his place of business, ammunition has come a couple times already, but I was just wondering if having an FFL would be necessary? Thanks

Haha. No I wasn't going to report him. I'm more jealous. It took me forever to ship ammunition to my friend from VA to OR. I got lucky when I had to ship it. I was just finding cool new things to show my boss. I knew what he was doing wasn't illegal, but I just figured he had is easy cause he has a lot of $$. lol Thanks for the answers though!

Some of the more fascist inclined states and cities do have restrictions but there is no federal requirement for licensing for receiving ammunition.

You don't even need an FFL to have it shipped to your home. You looking to report the boss? Tough. Hope he finds out you are sneaking around looking for a way to get him.

No, an ffl is not required to receive or even sell ammunition.

Any one who is eligible to buy guns can order ammo in any amount without an FFL, and have it shipped to them.

No - I had 1200 rounds of 7.62 X 25 delivered to my wife's office [ it had to be signed for]...no problem.

UPS handled it- box is tagged ORM-D .
