Like the 'Dukes of Hazard', a convicted felon is limited to bows & arrows, as a felon is prohibited even Possession of ANY firearms under Federal, as well as almost ALL state laws.

A convicted Felon can in fact purchase a hunting license legally in the State of Michigan. He/She however, may NOT own, possess, transport,ANY firearms including Black Powder Firearms under Michigan State law. The only thing that isn't specified is Bow & Arrow Hunting. I would suggest the person contact their Parole Officer, Probation Office or local Police or Sheriff's department for additional restrictions etc or information, that applies in their particular case...

I don't know the Michigan laws concerning hunting licenses. So far as I'm aware you are allowed to own and hunt with a bow. Firearms, owning or possessing is illegal.
