If that is what the law states, then yes, they should change it so those who carry semi-autos dosn't have to worry about being harrassed.
BTW: It is a STATE law which covers that particular means of excercising the right to keep and bear arms. If you don't like it, talk to the Colorado Supreme Court who ruled that it is a RIGHT under the United States and Colorado Constitutions.
Denver, which has home rule, is the only place permitted by the Colorado Constitution the ability to control the manner in which a gun is carried, so if you don't like open carry, move to Denver where all the people around you who are carrying are carrying concealed.
THEN you won't know who around you has a gun!!!!!

I would think that someone who obviously opposes citizens carrying guns, would appreciate the fact that someone who does exercise their second amendment right has the decency to openly carry a hog-leg strapped to their hip. That way, you know exactly what you are dealing with. No guesswork involved on whether on not this person has a pistol tucked into their waistband or not.
I'll bet American would be a lot more pleasant place if more people openly carried weapons. Bet there would be a LOT LESS crime of opportunity too, such as muggings, car jackings, robberies, rapes, etc.

If it's "holstered", what difference does it make? Has there been a crime wave of Old West cowboys murdering and raping the citizens? Or, are you just afraid of a free citizen with a gun? Do you think only police should have guns?

Yeah, it should say handgun. A sixgun limits my choice and discriminates against some manufacturers.
I suppose believing that firearms are linked to weak egos helps you feel more adequate yourself. But guns aren't about ego, at least for the people who know what they are doing. Ego and guns are as bad a fit as ego and cars.

Why would they need an update, and why would it be any of your business to guess about the motivation of those who'd choose to wear a pistol? This seems as good a place as any to MYOB. Personally, I find cell phones and IPods more annoying, but I put up with them.

Are you afraid of law abiding citizens? There is no need to change the law unless people are using the weapons illegally.

People usually carry guns to protect themselves. That has nothing to do with ego.
