I live in idaho and they offer hunters safety class online at:

http://www.hunter-ed.com/id/id_internet.htm

My question is, do I have to actually go through the course material, or can I just go straight to the test?

I already own a Glock 17, Glock 19, Colt Combat Commander, Luger 9mm, 2 S&W revolvers in .357 and .44, and a Browning Buck Mark .22.

Maybe a better .22 handgun is what I want. I think I have enough 9mm handguns. Maybe a 1911 pistol that'll be worth getting. I don't want another Glock.

But I'll take any serious suggestions from anybody. Thank you.

Seriously, do you think I have too many handguns? You should see my rifle collection.

that he needs a new gun
kinda long...

he has a marlin .30-30 lever action. he hunts somewhere where there is a mixed landscape. 6 acres of woods, 17 acres of rolling farm land. he has never shot at anything past 120 yards. he might need to with his farm now. i tried to talk him into getting a .270 or a .30/06. he says "i am happy with my gun. i dont need to shoot anything past 120 yards." i smile and shrug my shoulders, but the truth is is that he DOES need a new gun. he shoots a 12 gauge all the time, so recoil isnt a problem. i think he is just stubborn because he has had that gun since he was a teenager. when i get to go hunting im getting a .270. i told him i would let him shoot it to find out the recoil of it. my uncle has a .30/06 and he said he'll let my pap shoot it, too.
HELP!!!

A couple years back I was pheasant hunting here in Central Iowa. I had the worst luck that year. I couldn't find a rooster to save my life that year. The season ended first part of January like it always does. The next day after season ended, I was in the farm truck on my way to one of our building sites, and passed one of our fields that I had hunted several times that season with no luck. As I live and breathe, there were at the very least 100 roosters and hens in a giant cluster near the entry to that field. I could have chewed through metal I was so mad. For the life of me I can't figure where the hell they came from. We even had dogs with us when we hunted that patch just a couple weeks before. Has anything like this ever happend to you. Share your story, and the best one will get ten points. Looking forward to your stories. Take care.

What kind of gun do you guys recomend? I am looking for an over-under or a sharp looking single semi auto. I was really looking at the new Franchi Renaissance line. I think I want a 20 ga. I shoot a 12 ga. now and it sure does ruin a lot of meat at close range. Any ideas?

I am in the process of writing an article for one of my summer courses and I am trying to find a place to start research. I was wondering if someone would have a website or reference to help me find out the different kinds of smokeless powders, pyrodex, there uses, and there strengths. Also if someone knows of any websites that show different laws regarding the purchasing of these products. For example in the state of IL you are required to have a FOID card but you can still purchase these products online without one. Any websites or references would be really helpful. Thank you.

I have a hand gun we figure it was made in the 1800's all it says on it is K.L.P. and Italy. It breaks down differently from other handgun there is no saftey on it. The barrel completely detaches from the gun itself. It resembles a colt and a ruger. It has strange markings on the handle. It has a rear site in the hammer. If you need to see a pic. Let me know your email addy and I can send it to you.

I own a Yugo SKS, SKS 30 round clip variation. I'm looking for a good reliable priced Stock. So far I was looking at the ATI SKS Ultralight folding stock, and the ATI SKS Fiberforce Dragunov stock. I Can use either as my rifle acording to the local Law enforcement officals would be compleatly in the legal for either. I'm wondering if anyone has owned both and what they would recomend of the two.
