I am kind of new to Guns & Ammo and I noticed that my ammo tarnishes a bit after a while. It loses that bright shiny luster that we all so love as far as aesthetics go. My questions is if there is any performance issues I should be worried about.

I just moved to Illinois and I wanted to buy a small handgun for protection. I know a lot of people whose homes have been robbed where I moved to and I'm alone in a basement with LOTS of high priced valuables. Do I need to take a class(if not where can I find a gun safety class, I would like to take one)? Get a permit? Be a certain age? I'm only 19, but if I live on my own isn't it my constitutional right to protect myself. also what type of handgun would you suggest for the begginner?

A family of robins usually makes their nest under my deck. However a racoon has come by every year and eaten the baby birds. Now after two years of cleaning up baby bird guts, im sick of the cretin killing them. I need a good, solid air rifle that will give him a taste of his own medicine. Any ideas?

My top contenders are the Glock G23 .40, HK USP .40, Springfield XD Compact .45, and SigSauer P229. It will be a concealed weapon and I am open to other options, but I mostly want to carry 10 or more rounds with tight accuracy within 20 yards. Any ideas or reviews would be wonderful.

HI. I'm 50 years old, left handed, but my right eye is dominate. so, when i try to shoot a shotgun, i shoot left handed, but since my right eye is dominate, i have trouble looking down the barrel straight. I've tried all these little gadgets that fits on the end of the shotgun, which seems to help a little, but i'm still not satisfied, it's like i'm seeing two visions. I've disslocated my right shoulder, which eliminates me to convert to right hand shooting, which would be my optimum performance. Could anyone give me help or details that would help? Thank you.

I purchased a 22 blank starter pistol to train with dogs. I can't find the manufacturer, made in italy. I went to the ammo store and the 22 blank does not go all the way into the cylinder, remains raised a bit. I have heard from someone the 22 crimp may be what I need. The ammo store had no crimp shells. Does this sound like I have a gun that shoots crimp type and is the crimp smaller than the regular 22 blank shell?

Hi guys,

I am imagining myself as an owner of a liquer store, and I need a good defense side arm.

What would be your choice of the handgun?

My choice would be a Glock 23, which fires .40 S&W rounds. But first of all, does this round fire as accurate as 9mm?

I want to hear your experiences, and opinions.

The reason for choosing the Glock 23 is the .40 caliber has good balance between the recoil and size. Also, Glocks have very good reputation of being excellently reliable and accurate.

Do you recommend anything else?

Or should I stick to the Glock 23?

Any of your opinions are welcomed.

Please feel free to tell me your experiences.

Thanks in advance.

I just picked up a box of Remington golden saber 125grn .357 mags.

And when I opened the box and took a look at them, I noticed that there is a funky powder, belly lint, battery corrosion type of stuff surrounding the primers. The rest of the casing and the bullet all seem clean and normal.

From all the other ammo I've gone through the area around the primer has always been very clean.

What's up with this?

Are they safe to shoot? Are they reliable?

They dont suffer the dog is trianed to go for the head or the neck. I live in a town but i go deer hunting so i know a bit about fox hunting and most people agianst fox hunting live in towns they dont know what damage a fow can do. e.g you by a nice little house in the country side and you let youre lovely little dog out for a wee then you go away make a cupper and come back to see youre dog dead local farmer tells youa fox did it. This is not trolling it is the truth.
