Tough to say for certain.

The condition of the rifle is of major importance to determining the price. An old beat up SKS with a terrible stock and rust might still fetch $150.00 just because it's a Russian.

I would say the average Russian SKS would run about $250 to $450, depending upon condition.

Russian SKS generally are marked as such (Cyrillic letters in the serial number), a star or a triangle with an arrow (depends upon the factory that produced it) and often the year it was manufactured (for example: 1952r), or similar.

Check out the link below for help identifying any SKS.

. I would have to agree with AA. Condition, Condition, condition. Like any firearm, if it's a piece of crap It will be cheaper than a mint piece. Most Russian SKS'S came with a dark red or ox blood colored stock.I've seen stock's that were laminated & some that were not. Most Russian 's had the bayonet still attached. I never understood why a chinese, Romainien or polish SKS had to have the Bayonet dismounted , but not the Russian. I guess it was the Clinton years. A lot of things didn't make sence back then. Now as for a price. I have seen SKS'S from the Sattilite countries go for as little as $125.00 to $350.00. Russian From $250.00 to $475.00. Check the link provided by AA. It will be a big help

150 to 450; depending on condition, condition, condition. I find the nicest model SKS's were made by NORINCO; I have a pair of brand new ones that are milled, collared, matching numbers, etc. I also have a brand new russian sks with plastic stock that looks like junk next to the chinese models. But even the junky looking SKS will shoot and function and group just fine. I have formulated the opinion that the SKS's are just like an old chevy pickup; no matter what they look like they run just fine. The russian models usually have cryillic markings.

I own a Russian SKS, I got it at a gunshow for $250. You should pay about $200-400 for one of those.

It's a darker colored stock and still comes with folding bayonet.

Stamped on the receiver next to where it says the caliber says "Made in Russia"

the SKS between different rifles like the M/Ns are often overvalued at gun shows...I picked mine up from an area save for $a hundred and twenty...became right into a Yugo fifty 9/sixty six kind in VG project...yet something below $a hundred seventy five could be a rather solid cost, rather now with all the fees going up on what sounds like each and everything

Arensal mark is a Triangle with an arrow with fletchings inside - this designates Izhevsk arsenal (Russian) or a star with an arrow with fletchings is Tula arsenal (Russian).
Just a triangle or traingle with arrow without fletchings is Romanian.
