I have a hand gun we figure it was made in the 1800's all it says on it is K.L.P. and Italy. It breaks down differently from other handgun there is no saftey on it. The barrel completely detaches from the gun itself. It resembles a colt and a ruger. It has strange markings on the handle. It has a rear site in the hammer. If you need to see a pic. Let me know your email addy and I can send it to you.

Dear travistrittfan123,

The revolver looks a lot like a Italian or Belgian reproduction of a 1851 Navy Model Colt in .36 caliber. However it appears that someone has either fitted or simply assembled it with a five-shot cylinder from an Model of 1862 Pocket Police .36 cal revolver.

Let me suggest you reassemble the revolver and check to see if each chamber aligns with the barrel. You can do this by putting a .38 caliber button-jag on a cleaning rod and seeing if it will go down the barrel and into each chamber.

In my opinion, the M-1851 Navy Colt is the best pointing revolver ever made.

If the chambers line up with the cylinder, it will make a fun shooter.

Regards,
Doc Hudson

This sounds like a modern reproductions of a Colt Navy or any one of the Colt, Remington reproductions of black powder arms used in the 1800's. Colt actually made their cartridge revolver in 1873 and it wasn't muck longer and the old black powder guns were not see often.

Italy has a thriving gun industry and make a lot of black powder clones. Sounds like what you have. There are several companies that produce anything from perfect excellent copies to some very poor working replicas.
