Do you hunt, if so look at getting a Thompson Center Encore and learn what real magnum power is. Plus you can swap out the barrel and for about $250 have a different caliber, or chang over to a rifle on a whim....

It's not a matter of having "too many" handguns. It's a matter of investing your money wisely. You have a good trio of 9mm pistols. Enough of those. You probably should get another .22 handgun or a full-size 1911. I would not have gotten a commander model before a full-size. Maybe you should trade (unless you have a Colt and want to keep it.) I would call it a day after this next purchase and think about long term savings, because you need to think of the idea that you can "never have enough" money invested for your retirement or semi-retirement. I used to ahve a dozen or so firearms (handguns/rifles/shotguns) and now I have 4 really good ones. This might appear scant, but I would beware of people who say that you can never have enough of a material possession that loses value (like a car).
Be careful.

Get a Springfield Armory XD in 45 ACP. After you fire that for a while, you will sell the Glocks.
Try "the Judge" in 45 Colt/410. Nice trail gun in snake country. Load the first two with 410 and the rest in 45 Colt. That way you can handle minor bear issues also. ((Note to Coolhaven: you can not fire 410s out of a gun designed for 45 Colt, the chamber is too short.)))
Walther P22 is a very nice target gun. Get the two barrel set so you can use it as a trail gun also.
You can not go wrong with a 1911 model from any decent company. Carry it ****** and locked OR with an empty chamber, do not trust it other wise despite what they tell you about internal safeties.

You definitely don't have to many. If your looking for a good quality .22 revolver I would look at a Colt Diamondback. If you want an automatic I would look at a High Standard or maybe a Colt Ace. I have both the Colt Ace and a Model H-D High Standard, the Colt is a fine piece but the High Standard will out shoot it every day of the week.

Wish I was a beginner again. Anyway, take a look at the EAA line; especially the Witness models. I have both compact and full size 45 Witness models in blue and stainless, ditto for the 9mm's. Really like them, especially the reversed rails which give them a slimmer build. They are all very accurate out of the box, and workmanship is superb. They are manufactured by Tangfolio, who is a nephew to the Beretta family.

You can never have too many guns...
Get something outrageous like the Desert Eagle in the .50 Action Express.
Or a big cartoon like revolver in the 500 s & w
I tell you a gun I just bought and couldnt be more happy with it.
I just bought the Stoeger Cooger in 40 cal. Stoeger is owned by beretta and I dont know if you remember the old beretta couger. This is the exact same gun. However its now sold under the stoeger name. As a beretta this was about a 750 buck gun...I paid 370 for my stoeger.
It is now my favorite gun I shoot and my concieled carry weapon...check it out.
PS...am I the only one who cant stand Glocks? I know they are reliable guns....however I just hate the way they feel and their weird weight distrubution.

. I was told many years ago that a man cannot possibly have to many firearms. Now with that in mind, have you looked at a SIG P-220 in.45ACP or P-226 in 40 S&W. I personaly like the Beretta Vertec in .40 S&W. You didn't say what the S&W revolvers are so I will add in a MOD-19 2 1/2" R.B., R.R., W. /W.O. sights. Should you find one with counter bored cylinders & pinnned barrel, so much the better.

I would have to say that Ruger makes the best handguns you can find. They are priced right and very dependable. I have a Ruger .22, .45, .45colt and 9mm and I have never had a problem with them. I even use the .45 colt for deer hunting, took a nice 8 pt buck this past year.

Fill a hole. Ruger Blackhawk in 41 Magnum. You don't have a single-action wheelgun, and it's a caliber not very many people have (but those who do are fanatical about them). I assume you handload, and you'll love the heavy hunting loads, the police-type loads beat the 357, and light handloads are a hoot to play with. If you don't handload, forget the new gun and get a press.
And we all know there's no such thing as having enough guns.

Have you tried out the Walther P99 yet? If not, give it a try, I love the feel of it and they have it in 9mm and .40 caliber. There is also the P22 if you want the .22 caliber. Great guns, I haven't had a problem with any of them.
