I got tent and sprayed with waterproofing. Used it yesterday during the rain and had to put a tarp over it to keep the water from seeping through the top. So I'm looking for a new one thats really rain proof, any suggestions?

I intend to hunt whitetails this season with my AR-15. What type of bullet is best and what is the heaviest bullet that I can load to magazine length without sacrificing powder capacity?

My state allows 223's for deer and I am not looking for suggestions for other calibers, I am simply trying to load the best and most humane 223 that I can shoot from a semi-auto.

I bought a Mossberg 590 for home security. Recently I've gone shooting some trap. I'm told the 590 has a cylinder bore barrel and a barrel with a removable choke can bump up my game.

Of course you can't forget the coolest gun you ever had....
Of course you can't forget the rarest or most expensive gun you ever had...
Of course you can't forget the cheapest gun you ever had...
Of course you can't forget the one that was so lousy you wish you'd never bought it.....

The coolest was a Commando Arms MK-9 9mm that was supposed to look like an M1 Thompson...and came pretty close....
The rarest/most expensive was a Belgian Browning Sweet 16 with factory engraving and high-grade wood....
The cheapest was a 12 gauge snake gun of indeterminate early 1900's manufacture. 18" bbl and a regular stock cut right behind the grip, with a small buttplate re-installed and a short loop sling attached to the lower buttplate screw. Pretty cool for ten bucks!...
The lousiest was a tiny little Daisy .22 rimfire bolt action rifle purchased from Walmart. It only cost about 60.00, and never fired a shot. It didn't work NEW... They don't take back guns, but they took that one back!

Of course you remember what your first bb gun was...
Of course you remember what your first rifle was...
Of course you remember what your first shotgun was...
Of course you remember what your first handgun was....

So What were they?

My first bb gun was a hand-me-down Daisy slide action repeater.
(From my Grandpa)
My first rifle was a Stevens .22 bolt action single shot.
(From Santa Clause...I mean Sears...)
My first shotgun was a Mossberg 500 20 gauge pump.
(Santa again.....Montgomery Wards)
My first handgun was a Rohm RG14s .22 revolver.
(Walmart....36.95$)(I know, I know...)
(It was a "Saturday night special",1.5 inch barrel and all, but it made for some special Sunday afternoons on the farm shootin' cans and such!)

I'm looking to buy a .22 Semi-Auto pistol soon, and I've been looking at all the different makes and models (Ruger, Smith and Wesson, Browning, High-Standard, etcetera, etcetera). Anyone have ideas about which is the best quality for $400? Thank you.

Does any company make an upper for AR 15's for shotguns, with smoothbore barrels and chokes and whatnot. I know theres Saiga or some company like that that resembles an AK, but i think it would be really cool to have an AR 15 upper chambered for a shotgun

Compared to the .357 mag, does it have less penetration and velocity, but more stopping power?
Also, how effective is it in general?
(In other words, is it to the .357 what the .45 is ti the 9 millimeter?)
Any info would be appreciated, thanks!

When hunting dogs are used are they allowed to hurt the animal chased (ie, bite, attack or kill the animal hunted)?

Do they merely back the animal into a corner, not touch it at all & wait for the hunter to come and do that job himself?

How do the dogs fetch the hunter to let him know an animal has been caught?

How many dogs are usually used to hunt?

I'm asking b/c we have to write a story from the point of view of a deer in a story we read (The Deer of Providencia)

TDOP begins with travelers who see a deer roped to a tree. The deer was caught by village dogs. (The village is in Providencia, Ecuador and perhaps the hunting system there is different than in the US) The deer is still alive and throughout the story goes through a lot of agony while roped to the tree before finally dying. (leading me to wonder what role the dogs played and how the hunters managed to get the deer tied to the tree in the 1st place)

Any help is appreciated. Dont turn this into a debate.
