Too late..They already exist...Civilians can't buy them as they are restricted to Military and Law Enforcement sales only. The Daewoo USAS-12 Shotgun is built on the AR-15 type frame.12 gauge, Select fire switch for semi-automatic to full auto. 10 Round Clips or 20 Round Drum Magazines...
These have been around since the late 1980's and were developed in South Korea by Daewoo Industries
There is also the NEW Atchisson Assault-12 Shotgun,(Made here in the U.S.A)
12 gauge 10 Round Clip or 20 Round Drum Magazine. Also select fire from semi-auto to full automatic capabilities.
I tried to download a few pictures but was unsuccessful. You can check them both out on the Internet

Yes! I have seen them in Turkey. It looked very similar to the AR-15 but was chambered in .410. It has I assume arabic on the side. Good luck finding one unless you know someone headed to Turkey sometime soon...
P.S.
No the one I have seen looks exactly like an AR-15. In a store full of shotguns, it stood out. I didn't realize until I ejected the mag and saw a wide single stack box. I then looked at the muzzle and also saw a large diameter bore. The shop proprietor came over to "make me good deal". This gun had arabic writing molded into the aluminum in high relief. This was right outside Incirlik, Turkey.
Apparently in Turkey handguns and rifle are difficult to get but plenty of people hunt and use shotguns. You have to be a farmer or store owner to get a handgun permit and I guess farmer for the rifle. But shotguns were everywhere.

JD has it rite the USAS10 is the only shotgun that resembles a AR-15,These weapons are great when I was in the ARMY we got to shoot them at a range one day, these shotguns have some serious firepower. The SGT who was showing us how it worked told us the weapon is nicnamed the Jackhammer. Also he showed us that one of the 20 round drums can be converted into a landmine just by putting a fuse and a booster into it.

You would have to use the AR-180 or a clone, and you would have to build it up. I saw pictures of one that a gunsmith built for himself from a DPMS Panther LR .308. But he isn't going to build anymore, just did the one for himself. Too much work and too many problems. He had to change the gas system and magazines for it to cycle, not just rebore it and machine the bolt.

It would have to be a complete, custom rifle. You could not do just an upper because the magazine well is too short to take shotgun shells.

Interesting idea, why don't you start manufacturing them in .410, make yourself a few million and spend the rest of your days shooting em at 50 gallon drums of diesel fuel in your backyard.... fun huh?
