'm 13 and interested in starting a sport. I know it's kind of late because most kids start when they're like six, but I'd really like to try. I'm trying to find a talent. However, I have no athletic ability and my running speed is horrible. What are some good sports to begin playing and how should I go about doing this? What are ways to increase my athletic ability?

Seriously- you have criket listed and golf listed for god sakes! How about NOT leaving out cheerleading (competative), and gymnastics - 2 of the MOST phsycially exhausting activities on the PLANET!!!! Come on!

i am from denver, but i really believe its detroit.

- The Red Wings - one of the top 3 best hockey teams of all time
- The Pistons - one of the best basketball teams of recently, and i credit the Bad boys for bringing defense to the game
- the tigers - 2nd worst record ever, to AL champs
- Barry Sanders- the best running back of all time, and he wouldve crushed the yardage record if he played longer
- university of michigan football- the best college football team of all time
- MSU basketball- one of the best NCAA bball teams recentlty, magic johnson

i was just wonderin how i could learn more about the jr raiders cheerleading in Marietta,Ga. I have already checked the walton site and all but i cant find any info on the cheerleading. If you are a cheerleader for them, or know any information on this subject please fill me in thanks.

I have always been really interested in ice skating, but my mom would never let me take lessons when I was little. At the college I go to ice skating lessons are offered and I'm considering taking the lessons. I'm sure I'll probably continue taking lessons at the rink once the class is over with, but I am worried I will be in classes with little 10 year olds (the classes are ages 6 and up). Are there usually a good amount of older girls in ice skating lessons too? I don't want to be the oddball of the group lol.

Also, I was wondering about competitions. Are there competitions for older girls who haven't been skating very long? I ask this because I'd hate to be in a competition with other girls my age who have been in ice skating for years doing triple lutzes while I'm doing waltz jumps lol.

Also if you have any other knowledge to share with me about the subject I'd love to hear it

It can be a pro team, a minor league team or even a college team....I want to hear from people who grew up in the area, not someone who's from another area then move there..example..someone from Michigan moving to Ohio and hates the Buckeyes....
