NY Ranger fans love a team that took 54 years of humiliation before redemption, and then sank right back down again. But, we go to games, we cheer for our team, and end the season on the wrong end of the handshake, more often than not.

I've been a Cincinnati Bengals fan since the early 80's. I grew up watching them and remember both Super Bowls. Then I had to go through 15 years without a Playoff appearance. Not to mention 18 years without a Playoff win. I am optomistic that they are about to become one of the elite teams for the next few years, but I will support them regardless. I've had to listen to so many people call them the Bungals and deservingly so, but after so many years it really gets old.

It's all about loyalty. I'm a die heart niner fan but how much could I possibly have to complain about. However, I like in Phoenix so I know a little about heart-ache. If you truly love your team that's all you need. I also love my Seattle Sonics and they haven't won a championship in my lifetime. I can't say why I don't just give up on them besides the fact that I've always love them. Eventually every team in basketball and football will soon enough win a championship so stick it out.
