my sister is 24 and still cant do one despite repeated "teachings". but then she has issues with summer-salts too. how about trying this...tell her its hand hand foot foot. starting slow have her put both arms up in the air and guide her as she puts one hand down then the other followed by one foot then the other. you might even have to hold her and help turn her as she does this, but the more you do it the more comfortable shell get. a lot of praise should help too. good luck!

if you can do one, you can teach it. and tell her that no one died from a cart-wheel. the fall is so minimal that it wont hurt. the key is to fall forwards not backwards.
