whoes fault is it? the owners, also? or are the fans in this country who complain about salaries and then go to the games and support them hypocrites?

The athletes of the big three, MLB , NFL , NBA are absolutely overpaid !! Even after a mediocre season they expect, & GET raises of a million dollars or more. It can be blamed on owners, or greedy athletes , but the bottom line is WE keep on going to see them.

Paying ridiculous ticket prices , even more ridiculous concession prices, & heck even parking costs more than I'm willing to pay for some games.

I used to blame the players, but if someone came to me & said Hey Bud you did a good job last year , we want to triple your salary.....you bet I WOULD take it!!

Only if the fans (or owners) reach the point they did in the NHL will things change anytime soon....

in actual certainty expert activities attraction to truly some money from the final public. Which facilitates to set those gamers marketplace value. So no, they do no longer seem to be overpaid while in comparison with different careers. that's how a loose marketplace works. in case you swapped professional athletes for a gaggle of typical schmucks off the line my wager isn't a lot of human beings would watch. and for this reason experts who get eyeballs staring at and butts interior the seats make fairly some money. That being mentioned, i think of a few baseball gamers make some distance too plenty money. no longer via fact they do no longer deserve it, yet via fact of ways lopsided payrolls are in baseball and not utilising a earnings cap. i think of that's a humorous tale that a similar 6 or so communities realistically contend each and every 3 hundred and sixty 5 days mutually as the others have not got a prayer.

It's people with too much money using money to win. Life is about competition, and owners are willing to pay big $$ to win.

Which is fine--it gets gross though when players come to think they DESERVE that money, and hold-out of training camp and stuff. That's just messed up.
