i am from denver, but i really believe its detroit.
- The Red Wings - one of the top 3 best hockey teams of all time
- The Pistons - one of the best basketball teams of recently, and i credit the Bad boys for bringing defense to the game
- the tigers - 2nd worst record ever, to AL champs
- Barry Sanders- the best running back of all time, and he wouldve crushed the yardage record if he played longer
- university of michigan football- the best college football team of all time
- MSU basketball- one of the best NCAA bball teams recentlty, magic johnson
What do u think?

I don't think that they have the best city, despite the good teams. For one, Magic Johnson played a long time ago, and he doesn't do anything for current MSU basketball. Not very many people care about Hockey in America. No offense, I think its a great sport to watch, but... Americans are obsessed with football, and you don't get to say that you are a great football city because of one player. You can't seem to decide whether or not you think they are the best because of now or the past. ie. Magic Johnson, Barry Sanders (long gone) and the Tigers (last year). Finally, I think that you need to look at the city, not just the teams. The atmosphere that they play in is much more important than what teams are there, not to mention the way that the teams conduct themselves. (Pistons-Pacers) I hate the Red Sox and the Patriots, but I thought that Boston was a really great city, and even though they might not have all these things, the overall atmosphere makes them the best.

You bet! Detroit's' really had an exciting year.
Wish the Lions would hone up to that a bit more though. I used to have season tickets to the lions @ the 50 yard line. That was back when they played games that didn't hurt to watch though.
As a U of M alumni, I miss going to the stadium to watch them play. But the Rose Bowl, it was great to see them there again. I cried for 2 days when Bo died the day before the big Ohio State game.
As for the Tigers, I made several of their games this year. It was fantastic to watch the "come back kids" rise to the occasion again. Tried to get tickets to the World Series, but no luck.
I'm just enjoying the Red Wings now...Fingers crossed, another Stanley Cup! ;)
