i`m not sure what position i should go for. could anyone tell me the the requirements about each position & what i should do to get ready for tryouts in about 3 weeks

I would recommend bat boy(person)until you can learn the game.This may seem like a condescending answer,but I did it for years for my Dad's team.I learned every signal,all the nuances,and picked up tips you just can't get any other way.I guess it depends on how old you are,I was8 or 9,but it sure made a difference.

There are many positions.
U got hindcatcher
then u got 1st base, 2nd base,3rdbase
left field, center field, right field
also the pitcher and referee(sp)
Center field is a good position to catch
popups.
Hindcather is the dangerous position

If you have bad depth perception you do not need to be in the outfield. If you are not afraid to get a few bruises, play infield, I feel its a more rewarding choice. Good luck.
