No, but I think it would be curtious to respect them as you would want to be. The worst thing that happens is that they see your business. So what. Just wash and go. Gays are more nervous then straights, especially in school/sports and don't want any more negative attention then they may already get.
What about urinals? Gays are no more of a sex predator than anyone else, ask a gay on the team how they feel when they are showering. Probably soapy.

No, I don't think it would be like showering in the girls locker room for a guy. Why would it? Who says the other guys would even be attractive to him, or that the gay athlete could not possibly control his urges and feelings?
Additionally, it would single him out and isolate him even more than he is likely to feel. I can't imagine any possible benefits, except to make the teams homophobes a bit more comfortable (out of sight, out of mind?).
Under those conditions, if I were a gay athlete, I would keep it a secret as well. I certainly wouldn't feel strong enough to come out, and I have tremendous respect for anyone who is.
I agree with the above post; I wouldn't have any problems at all sharing a locker room or a shower with a homosexual. But I'm also not naive enough to insist that I haven't already.

Why do we have male and female separated? So everyone can be comfortable and not be concerned with being analyzed as a potential mate. So, by that line of thinking, yes they should be separate. I wouldn't have any problem with sharing locker rooms with homosexuals. I wouldn't have any problem sharing locker rooms with females either. So, by my own line of thinking, no they shouldn't be separate.
