I'm trying out and I want to know so I can work on what they're looking for.
Someone said they really look for good roundoffs but thats all I've ever heard. What are some of the jumps they really look for?

What would I have to do to make Junior Varsity Cheerleading next school year?
I am already enrolled in a Tumbling class.
I can do Cartwheels but havent "mastered" them yet.
I cannot do Backhandsprings.
& im working REALLY hard.

Im just not sure what to work at.

& if you could: can you provide informative sites for cheerleading and different types of thing i should know. (ex: Jumps...idk! lol thank you)

In other words, do people ever truly better themselves solely because they gain financial success? Or will they always just keep doing the stupid things they did before they acquired fame and fortune?

How can athletes, who live every boy's dream and are paid to 'play a game' end up so screwed up? History is full numerous sports figures who succumbed to drugs and alcoholism, regardless of their backgrounds. Does it make sense to you that it happen?

Im 18 & sr in hs, i was thinking about trying for baseball, but i don't know if it's worth it. I've had very bad luck with sports (couldn't play soccer this year cause of an injury) & went out for baseball as a soph just to be the last one cut (literally the last since the jv coach couldnt decide & kept me an extra tryout just end up cutting me). Then he said the reason was cause the Vars coach didnt think i would make it, but now that same JV coach is on varsity, & he seemed to at least think i had some talent since he kept me & was the last cut.

However, I didnt play last year or tryout, & theres a lot of politics w/ sports as you're expected to play in private summer leagues (basically the seniors are already picked). This coach said i could be a manager & do all the summer leagues, but i didnt since i was away for summer.

Is it worth being cut again just to see what might happen, or keep some dignity from these sports/politics(& not leave hs as the 1 who was cut again)?

okay im a cheerleader for my highschool and people always have something bad to say about us mostly girls though they say that were dumb stupid blonde whores, first of all to make the squad u need to have good grades. 2nd of all were not all blonde but i am, and were not whores either there other whores in the school that arent even in the squad but yet were the ones gettin sterotyped.
And being a cheerleader does take alot of work, it is a sport and you do have to have passion and talent for it i just want to know why do they sterotype us soo much its so unfair cause we all work soo hard
