considering the fact that the colonies are better than us at sports we created i.e. football, cricket, rugby. should we now create our own moody sport, not let anyone else play and call ourselves world champs.

I am thinking about trying out for the soccer team at school, because I'm not good and sports and I want to improve that and my physical activity. I think it would teach me many things, like teamwork, actual physical work, and helping others along with yourself to get what you want.
Is it too hard of a sport to learn for a beginner? I'm not great at sports, but I can't say that I'm THAT awful. In fact, I wouldn't be so awful if I actually tried in gym...but...anyway...to anyone who plays soccer, do you think I should just go for it?

Why have we witnessed so many athletes "suddenly" dying in the past couple years?

Was it like this "back in the day?"

It's an exercise tool. You wear booties and you slide back and forth on the board - used primarily with skaters and hockey players.

--some say Brady Quinn wont even be in the 1st round...some say he will be...some say he'll be 3rd, or 2nd or even 9th pick...whats the deal?? and why wouldnt he...he only lost what...3-4 games during the season??--and also Jamarcus Russell is getting soo much hype..

what do you think about them both?

Actually this question has been posted before but I would like to go a little more in-deph..

There are 5 other questions on the same topic. The overall opinion I see in the answers is "Yes". I would like for you guys to again give your answer and back it up with your opinion as to why. For those who think "Yes", I would like to know which athletes (by name) you feel are the ones overpaid.

My position is these professional leagues make MILLIONS and BILLIONS of dollars through TV contracts, merchandizing, ticket sales, etc. This money is directly correlated to the performance of the athletes. On any given Sunday, 50,000+ skip church to attend a NFL game live. I would like to know WHO deserves the money if the athletes don't?

I have been ice skating now for a couple of months, but i can't stop myself on ice and I want to be able to do this and be steady on my feet before i consider taking lessons. I won't ever achieve competiton level but it's something i enjoy doing.

So does anyone have any tips on how to stop yourself? I roughly know that u can turn sidewards to stop or theres a way of pushing out on the inside of the blade but i havent been able to achieve this so if anyone has any tips for beginners on how to do this it wud be great!

Okay well I have cheered for the past 3 years, but that has been for a school team. And now i want to try out for an All Star team, but i don't have a handspring or anything. I have done tumbling and i probably would have it by now, but i had to quit [back in october] because of my new cheerleading schedule. Well anyway i'm not sure if i can make the team and im afraid a little. I know i'm good and i'm not trying to be snobby about it but i am good enough to be on an All Star team; im loud, funn, good with builds and have my motions pretty darn good.

SO;;
I was wondering if you all think i should try out or not?

and if you do think i should; could you give me some tips for not being so nervous!

PLEASE and THANKYOU!! :-]

Okay, so I've been a rec/school cheerleader since 3rd grade. I want to try out for an all-star squad that's really good in my town, but I don't really know how to prepare for the tryouts. I don't know what to expect, because I'm guessing it's a lot different than school tryouts. Can anyone help me with this? <3
