Make School is your top priority. Train after you have completed homework, ask teachers for extra help. If you have an important lesson on the day of a meet, as much as it sucks, skip the meet. I run Track and I have a very difficult semester, I have skipped class trips to stay at school to keep up so that I can go to the meets. You could try that. as well you could ask for a work package for the day of the meets so you get all of your work done. if you work hard in both school and track it can Be very rewarding. I do recommend joining the team but make sure that track practice gives way to school work. Good luck with the grade and in Track

if you really want something, you'll be willing to work for it. So if you join the track team, be prepared to work harder at school to compensate and also to do even better. Also, learn how to prioritise. What is more beneficial to you at this point in time?.

Judging from the way you wrote this question, I don't think you should be joining any sports team! I think you should look into tutoring instead--preferably English and Spelling first....

first you should ask your teachers if you need to make up any work and if so do it. And if that doesn't bring your grade up enough ask for extra credit.
