ok, this is how you should try it next time... ok come to the rail at a little bit of an angle, pop you ollie and try to land with the middle of your board on the rail(its easiest to try it on the last two or three feet of the rail) keep your wieght centered OVER the board, dont lean back and dont lean forward. keep it CENTERED over the board and keep your knees bent and your arms out to keep your ballance. now as you start coming to the end of the rail, start turning your shoulders and follow up with your lower body when you come off the rail.now roll away and smile.
hope this it what you were looking for.

You need to lean forward a little more and try it like that.
If you fall again lean even more forward.
If you fall forward, or if the board stops instead of sliding, you are leaning to far forward
Board slides are extremely scary when your first learning them because you have little control. But after you figure out how to level your weight out its actually really easy and alot more fun
GOOD LUCK! and HAPPY SKATEBOARDING!

Either lean forward a little more or move your arms forward a little more to balance things out.
