I heard people telling others to get a "fighter's" license.
But are there separate kickboxing license, mma license, ect?
Also, where do I get them what is the qualification to obtain one?

Ok, I think there is a lot stupidity in this section reguarding his coaching skills. I want to know how many people that think he is to tough on his guys have ever wrestled or played football or even fought. I gave up in a wrestling match once, only once. My coach made me run and run and run while he was yelling at me then he made me wrestle him(kicking my butt) then do drills and so on and so forth. For a week this went on. when the end of the week came around he took off to the side and told me to put out in all my matches or quit. I gave up in a sparring session at boxing one day and the gyms head coach came up to me and said in that short black guy sort off way that if it happened again to find another gym because he would not let some quitter represent his gym. Matt Hughes has been doing this for a long time, he picked people he thought would fight and they just did not do it. He has proven to be a very nice guy. How many of you have ever been in that type of TEAM to win

Would someone that has around 3 years of experience in Judo be able to properly defend himself in a street fight agaisnt a normal average guy.

Judo really doesn't seem agressive, so would a judoka be able to use only judo moves to attack his opponent. Would Judokas still use their fists in a street fight, or would they stick only to judo moves.

BASICALLY, what I'm asking is,... is learning Judo going to give you a significant edge in a street fight.

Just helping a friend to survey. Now, given a chance of a lifetime, which one would u choose to learn? You might want to indicate ur reason for that preference.

more of an opinion request than a real question. Yesterday me and a few friends had a bit of a discussion after class about the techniques taught in class. My point was basically that in a real fight one hardly ever uses the techniques used in class. The techniques taught are great stuff for teaching you all about balance, posture, stance, use of the hips and feet as driving force but usually the perfect techniques are a tad inpractical in a real fight you're most likely to use a more crude form of technique rather than the perfect one taught in class. (not that I'm a fan of this but check what the guys in UFC or vale tudo do) and let's face it many of the kicks and punches are waayy too unpractical to work in a real situation. class techniques are a great teaching tool but hardly the weapon of choice in a real fight. So what's your opinion.
