Yes there are a couple movies that have scenes like that but too my knowledge it is all Hollywood.
Catching arrows YES that can be done. A Buttlet? I really doubt it.
I remember seeing it done it Berry Gordy's last Dragon...he catches it with his teeth!! LOL
Then in Remo Williams made in the 80's the old man was able to dodge bullets easily.
So its just fun Hollywood magic nothing more.

Well anyone can, it's called "running and swerving like hell". I do not believe anyone can achieve "bullet speed" nor is it possible for a man to catch a bullet, merely because the brain also interprets images milliseconds late. A firearm fired from a short to medium distance would already hit the target by the time the brain interprets what is happening. However, not to completely discredit martial arts, it is possible to achieve a very fast speed and a shorter reflex delay duration. There have been studies, and some martial artists can strike faster than a snake can. So yes, while the speed and reaction time of an experienced martial artist is impressive, I am sure no one can dodge or catch a bullet.

If only a fraction of the things you see in movies were possible we would have to rewrite the laws of physics.
You may out move the shooters intent to shoot you. That would be unlikely if the shooter was well trained.
Please don't think you can dodge a bullet once it leaves the muzzle of the gun. Your eye has a persistence of vision that is between 1/16th and 1/32th of a second this is why movies appear real and not just a stream of pictures jerking by. That time is long enough for the bullet to have already penetrated you before the eye could see the muzzle flash at reasonable hand gun range.

The movie was called: RENO WILLIAMS
The bullets were not dodged, but timed between the pulling of the trigger and the falling of the hammer when you ducked.
So the 'master' observed when you pulled the trigger and 'ducked' just as the hammer dropped. You anticipate the firing of the weapon to get out of the way.
So no human being is actually fast enough to duck away from any bullet already in flight, you duck just before the trigger is pulled all the way back.

Catching and dodging arrows in real life is possible but not bullets.
You can move just as you seen a gun drawn and perhaps have the first shot MISS, but if you try moving after the bullet has been fired then no.
The amount of time it takes your eyes/ears to recognize it as a bullet being fired, process a reaction, send that to the muscle, and then have your muscle move you would be hit already.
I know. Guns take the fun out of everything.

I don't think so - but , then I'm not a martial artist and I don't know for sure :)
I did enjoy the movie though

95 % of all bullets are super sonic
that means that these bullets travel faster than sound.
sorry to say but you can't avoid what you can't percieve.
by the time you will hear the gunshot the bullet will allready have hit you so...
Even the remaining 5% of bullets travel at around 80% of the speed of sound so even that is pretty near impossible to dodge.

moving fast enough to dodge the bullet is impossible. but ....moving faster than the mind and hand of the shooting person is very likely. it would appear your dodging the bullet but your really dodging the individuals aim.

No, the minimum time for a human reflex is .004 seconds, nowhere close to the reflex needed to dodge a bullet.
