The reason that boxing is so effective is that they spend so much time sparring... If you train any fighting style they way that a boxer trains it will be just as effective...

It always boils down to training methods rather than a specific style in my opinion, is the same reason as to why BJJ, Thai Boxing, Krav Maga ect seem to be so great, it's all about getting the practioner a realistic sense ofhow to use what the know.

Boxing is a GREAT fighting style, it's effective, and the traininig realistic, that's what makes it good.

A good boxing workout would include pad work, bag work, conoditiong (sush has jump rope), running, etc. and plenty of sparring.

The best way to get a good boxing workout would be to join a boxing gym.

good luck!

I have a lot of respect for boxers.

But boxing is not a complete system of fighting. A good wrestler can hurt or neutralize a boxer. But never underestimate a boxer, it is a good fundamental striking art to learn and provides a super workout.

Yet because boxing is not a complete system you will never be taught how to defend against weapons, or how to use a weapon, or how to defend against multiple attacks.

its good but you wont get strong kicks just boxing, if you do boxings either do it for the sport, or do it together with an art that is more well rounded

The TILT boxing series of videos is probably the best set for boxing out there
