Forget all the off field hoop-la and focus only on his play. Is he or isn't he going to end up in Cooperstown? Best argument for or against wins the points.

I mostly follow football but it seems like the Tigers just traded very little away for one of the best players in baseball (Miguel Cabrera).

From The Tigers, The Marlins picked up the 20-year-old Maybin, universally regarded as one of the five best prospects in baseball, and the 22-year-old Miller, a left-handed pitcher who was considered the best player in the 2006 draft. Also included were catcher Mike Rabelo, reliever Eulogio de la Cruz and starters Dallas Trahern and Blake Badenhop. High prospects but who's to say that they will pan out.

Cabrera has already panned out and in my opinion he's the second coming of A-Rod. How many years are left on his current contract?

If their trade with the Marlins goes through, they have a good chance.

"Now the Tigers boast the scariest lineup in baseball, with Curtis Granderson leading off, Placido Polanco hitting second, Cabrera, Magglio Ordonez, Gary Sheffield, Carlos Guillen, Renteria, Ivan Rodriguez and a platoon or Jacque Jones and Marcus Thames."

Rather than being remembered as one of the greatest post-seasons pitchers of all time, he's just going to be remembered as a horse's behind who was too dumb and too ignorant to shut his yap. It's sad...

No way this should have ever happened. This is the man who took the Dodgers out of Brooklyn 50 years ago, and really has never been forgiven.

and why is MLB recognizing this guy, when they fail to let Gil Hodges into the HOF? Thats definitely a slap in the face to Brooklyn and New York City.

Hodges was a beloved Dodgers player in te 1940's and 1950's and managed the 1969 World Champion Mets, the team that replaced the Dodgers after O'Malley stole them from Brooklyn.

The is a bad move on the part of the HOF.
