Anyone who thinks this guy is over rated just don't know baseball. He would have easily been a 20 game winner last year if he played on a team like Boston or New York. The guy finished second in the league in ERA and that means people are not scoring off him that much. This guy throws mid 90's with movement, has a splitter, and if his curveball is on then you will not be scoring that many runs. Ask around the league and nobody wants to face Haren because his pitches have movement. Go ahead, ask the players.

No, he is very good and a reliable #1 or #2 starter on almost any staff. He has shown he does lull after the ALL-STAR break the past few years. I don't think he is an "ace" though, that , I believ" was proven at the 2007 ALL-STAR game when he started the game and didn't fare all that well. then the game was eventually won by Josh Beckett.

Danny Haren is not overrated. He is on the way up. Everything about him is getting better. His control, speed and his breaking pitches get better and better. He tired a little down the stretch this year, but I think he'll be dominant again in 2008.

No he is not overrated but i think that since the yanks are going after him it will take on that persona. The yanks have no pitching and so having haren will improve on it a bit.

I think he is over rated. Last year in fantasy baseball he ended up messing my whole team up. I traded for him and another player and gave up Johan Santana. Ended up losing most of my pitching categories after that.

He's good, but not as good in the second half of the year which is when the yanks will need him most. That and the post season.
