So as I'm sure everyone has heard by now, they've finally take the first steps to implement instant replay in major league baseball. I've always been against it, however, I think I can handle it being used for what it's been approved to review. I'm ok with them reviewing whether a ball was a homerun or not, so long as it doesn't take the kind of time it requires in football. What I DON'T like about this change is something they're now considering to help avoid too much delay now that instant replay will be introduced. GMs have raised the possibility of allowing fewer visits to the mound and limiting the number of people who visit the mound. Are you kidding me? That's what I'm worried about with the whole instant replay thing. It comes into the picture, and other things must exit. Baseball has been fine the way it is. What does everyone think about it?

More than likey you would not even have know who he was. It's so sad that some small kid who won over a few hearts playing in Boston could steal the ROY award.

Delmon young had "93" rbi's playing for the last place Devil Rays. Could you imagine if this kid had played for New York or Boston?

We all know that the yankees have NOT won a world series in the 21st century. My question is it because of a-rod? If he goes elsewhere would the yankees have a better chance of actually WINNING?
or will the curse of a-rod last 100 years like The Cubbies?

I'm obviously a little bias but I thought Beckett had this in the bag. You're sorta supposed to vote based on the season but you can't ignore what Beckett did in the postseason...he was literally untouchable and beat Sabathia twice and being the AL MVP. I'm surprised he didn't get it and how wide the point spread was. Who do you think should've won?

TWO months after the season ends...they announce the awards for MVP, Cy Young, etc.. Why so long? Even then, they dribble one announcement out every couple days....

I know they must have used to live in the Boston area, and then moved, and are still die hard loyals, and it is reported the Red Sox have the most fans at away games. I never heard of another team having a "nation" is it just the Red Sox?

It's very clear now that Boras mis-calculated the market value of is biggest client, A-Rod. $350M is so far out of touch with every organization that they all must be laughing at Boras at this point. The fact is, the Yankees are probably the only team that would even come close to want Boras, not A-Rod, wants.

Should A-Rod swallow his pride, tell Boras to take a hike, and sit down with the Steinbrenners and work out a reasonable contract? Your thoughts.

For example: Dustin Pedroia is a rookie playing for the Red Sox. I believe the Red Sox hold his rights for a period of time, until he's allowed to become a free agent, or the team re-signs him. How does this rule work? How is his salary determined? Do this type of players make the MLB minimum wage?

Answering that, can somebody also tell me the actual contractual status of Red Sox players over the next years?

C.C. Sabathia took the Cy Young Award today...was it deserved?

Beckett or Sabbathia?
I would've given it to Sabbathia if I had a vote. Beckett had more wins, but Sabbathia was better in all the other categories(ERA, K's, etc.)
