On my site we like to play What If..........Mostly it's hypothetical but this one has possibilities, not probablities but possibilites..........Ready???? - WHAT IF Joe Torre took the next year off and then decided he wanted to manage again...........An offer is made to him from the Boston Red Sox as Francona's extended contract is over at the end of 2008........Joe takes the offer...........How would Yankee fans, Red Sox fans and baseball fans in general feel about this???.........Do you think Torre would take the offer if it were made???...........Remember this is a What If........No real facts to it but it's something I've been thinking about.........CAT

Should Boston keep him?

I know , I know , George never does that . But this time is different . Joe Torre took em to 6 World Series in about 12 years and was victorious 4 times . And Joe is of impeccable character . I think Steinbrenner may take so much heat on this one that he just may back-peddle and apologize for being wrong .

What do you think ?

He's the only thing that seems to be able to stop the Tribe. Who cares if it's non-standard to run with the same pitcher two games in a row? If the Sox lose tomorrow, it's all over.

Do you think the handling of Joe Torre's future with the club was handled with any respect, dignity or class? He was a winner, even when they gave him crap and told him to get to the series with it. If they wanted to fire him, fire him. Don't insult the intelligence of everyone and say "he rejected our offer..."

I thought it was great when they showed Papelbon in the bullpen dancing to The Village People. And then they showed footage of him wearing spandex and dancing barefoot on the field. I'm sure his buddies in Provincetown were squealing with delight!

Hear we go as Red Sox fans and Indians fans and even alot of Yankee fans who can only get lucky to be able to score playoff tickets...then you had the Diamond backs whos stadium couldnt even get 3/4 full during a playoff game...they deserved to get swept by the Rockies...Whats up with that?

I am talking about every team, but mine is the Cleveland Indians.

While I am sitting on my couch, watching FOX in HD, I see these dummy's dressing up like Indians (where were they during the regular season?), corporate, hey look what my boss gave me, guys, and just flat out people who weren't paying attention all season until now. It makes me puke. All the real fans can't afford 300 bucks per ticket because all the dam ticket brokers buy up all the tickets.

The Jake can be SOOOOOOO loud and wild during the regular season while the REAL fans are there, but now, in the ALCS, the decibel level has dropped about 10dbl's. It just angers me that these douchebags get to go to the most important games and waive their little white towels around, which I also think is stupid, while I am sitting home, watching it on T.V. because I can't afford spending 1/4 of my bank account.

I'll try to settle down now, but are you with me on this!?

Are you upset with the hiring of Dusty Baker. I would be if I was a reds fan.
Dusty Baker is a looser. He proved it in Chicago. Blaming everyone except himself.

With Joe Torre, Joe Girardi both available. This will be the worst MLB manager hiring in 50 years.
