Joe Girardi.
He is respected by many Yankee players in that clubhouse already, he has a terrific baseball mind and he has proven he knows how to manage evidenced by the job he did with those kids down in Florida (and the baseball writers thought so since he won NL manager of the year last year). The reason he lost his job was because he disagreed vocally with the ownership. I also think he is tough and stubborn enough to handle the Yankee brass.

The Yankees like to go with big names....I'm my opinion the biggest name out there now is Tony LaRussa. I'd like to see Girardi or Mattingly get a shot. It's gotta be someone Steinbrenner can control and none of those guys seem likely to put up with that. Girardi got fired from Florida for standing up to the owner. It's gonna be interesting to watch.

Joe Girardi he has proved himself as a manager he is a far better choice then Mattingly even though Mattingly is a Yankee Legend....He couldn't get it done as a player he is not going to get it done as a mgr!!! Dont get me wrong I like Donnie BaseBall he was a great player but he is jinxed!!!

Girardi is a possibility, but they like to have true Yankees(in the organization already) to manage...I predict Don Mattingly...

who ever they get will do fine. The Yankees are easy to manage because of all the talent they have. I could do it. They rearly bunt or steal and their and AL team. All you have to worry about is the pitchers.
