initially, i'm a purple Sox fan. I easily have seen some video games the place judgements he's made i presumed had a unfavorable effect on the interest, and that befell approximately 4 cases. the guy's controlled what a million,a hundred-something wins and four WS and 13 positioned up Seasons with the Yankees. They (Steinbrenner & Sons or Cashman) are easily retarded to enable him bypass. Who the heck do they think of they are going to replace him with? Mattingly? Mattingly grew to become right into a 1B, All-famous guy or woman. good Managers (of the accepted a Yankee supervisor could desire to be) are the two Catchers or Pitchers, no longer First Basemen. I propose his first year there he controlled a word sequence win... yet another factor as quickly as we had that knuclkehead Dan Duquette he spent plenty time blaming people ... after a at the same time as there grew to become into no person left to blame. an identical factor will ensue to Cashman (who looks like a typical manhattan city sleaze bag in any case). back, as a purple Sox fan, it relatively is large information. i wish Torre is going to Texas, he can artwork some magic with them. he's an stylish guy and he will have a good destiny. Yank followers get waiting for us to take many greater branch Pennants now which you have have been given purely enable the main experienced and argueably the superb supervisor in baseball walk out the door.

Torre brought honor and dignity and stability to a franchise that had not won a championship for 18 years before him.

For those who think that anyone could have won with his resources, just remember that the Yankees had those resources for the 18 years before Torre and perennially nabbed the highest paid free agents and got nothing in return. Torre won with a bunch of guys were were very solid players but who were not exactly at the top of everybody's list of best at their position.

NY Yankee fans will miss him but what's more amazing is that an equal number of Yankee haters will be saddened by his absense.

I don't think there is a bigger testimonial than that.

As a Sox fan I have respect for the man and believe he was let go in a poor manner. He is a classy guy, and I don't blame him for telling the Steinbrenners to shove off.

He's a good man, but let's face it. Anybody could have led that team with that talent and that payroll into the playoffs only to lose 7 straight years.
