In the Playoffs the Closers are one the Most important Part of the Game

the Following closers are going to the Playoffs in the Al

Jonathan Papelbon- Hes The Red Sox Closer he has not experienced the Playoffs being a Closer its Very Different than the regular season , but he has Dominating stuff he will have to Prove himself

Fransisco Rodriguez- He helped the Angels in the Postseason , but not as a Closer , he has saves in the Postseason 3 saves

Joe Borowski - Hes Clevelands Closer hes has over 40 saves , but the Era is over 5.00 which is not good but still the guy has 42 saves he getting it done when it counts Will he continue in the Postseason

Mariano Rivera- What can we say the guy was Born for the Postseason he has an era 0.80 and 8-1 record and he has 34 saves , but this year he has had his ups and down as a yankee fan i would not want anybody else but him closing out the games for me in the Postseason

Who do you choose and why

Do you know of a New York Mets bar in the Los Angeles area? Or, at least, somewhere to watch the game tomorrow (9/30), somewhere that won't be just showing football?

35-40%, and that there are only around 8% black players left, and then a small percent being Asian and the rest are white guys. What's the deal here? Pretty soon, teams will have more than half of their players being Spanish speaking only. Is there not enough talent coming out of America? The Colleges and Universities? What's going on here. What got me thinking about it was this photo I saw on Yahoo sports from the Mets/Marlins game today when their was a fight. Check it out. I realized that every player or coach in this caption was Spanish, except for Dan Uggla. Sandy Alomar Sr., Miguel Olivo, Jose Reyes, Fredi Gonzalez and Miguel Cabrera are all hispanic and in the picture frame. It really made me wonder, and then I took a look at all of the 30 teams rosters, and there are so many Dominican Republic, Cubans, Venezuelans, etc. I don't have a problem with this, but come on, don't we have a big talent pool here in America? I can understand that hispanics might represent 10

I mean he's all disapointed that the Tigers aren't going to play in the playoffs this year. This is understandable, because if the Yankees weren't going to the playoffs I'd be bitter too. Fortunately for me the Yankees are going to the playoffs just like they have every year since 1995 and this is the year the championship comes back to New York. But question after question that comes out of this person is all about how bad he thinks the Yankees are. Reality check for you Georgie. They're better than the Tigers. As for the playoffs. They swept the Tribe this year. They won the season series against the Sox 10-8 winning 5 out of the last 6. The only team that would give them a problem is the Angels if they meet in the ALCS

Im not sure why this is. If youre playing a sport (ill say baseball because thats where im coming from) and the other team starts talking trash, what should you do?

It doesnt make any sense. If you taunt them back or start playing dirty, that makes you look bad because now youve become the enemy.

If you dont do anything, then you look like a pussy.

I hate it when people talk trash when they didnt do anything: when they scored cause a defender made an error. but if i cant retaliate or say something back, i look like a coward! (i didnt make the error, i play catcher, it was our 1st baseman.)

i need to know how to react so that i dont look bad or cowardly.

today, i held my temper. barely. in case you wanted to know, after a homerun due to an error, i came very close to throwing a close range shot at the kid because he was talking ****.

so what do i do

Congratulations to John Maine on his great performance today. maybe he didn't get that no hitter but what he did was even more important. he kept the Mets alive in the playoff hunt. Congrats to John Maine.

All of a sudden, the voices of those New Yorkers chanting "1978" have fallen deathly quiet, haven't they? = )

We know that Steinbrenner is going to need pills to get to sleep at night, but what else will happen after this?

Which free agent(s) are out there that the Yankees open up their gazillion-dollar warchest for?

Will Brian Cashman lose his job?

Will Joe Torre's contract not get renewed?

Of course, all of these things would be forgotten if the Yankees were to win the World Series, but we all know that will never happen in '07. Not with the pitching they have.

So, no matter what they say publicly, the Yankees will never get over this.

(answers from Yankees fans not accepted).
