All of a sudden, the voices of those New Yorkers chanting "1978" have fallen deathly quiet, haven't they? = )

We know that Steinbrenner is going to need pills to get to sleep at night, but what else will happen after this?

Which free agent(s) are out there that the Yankees open up their gazillion-dollar warchest for?

Will Brian Cashman lose his job?

Will Joe Torre's contract not get renewed?

Of course, all of these things would be forgotten if the Yankees were to win the World Series, but we all know that will never happen in '07. Not with the pitching they have.

So, no matter what they say publicly, the Yankees will never get over this.

(answers from Yankees fans not accepted).

GO RED SOX 2007 AL EAST DIVISION CHAMPIONS I see Cashman Fired, A ROD signing with another team, and Torre If they don't win the ALDS vs Cleveland He's gone too, so the ALCS will be the RED SOX vs the Tribe.

This is a Good Day for RED SOX NATION Bad Day for the Bronx Boys, and their Fans because the Yankees Suck in the Regular Season and their Suck some more in the Playoffs.

GO RED SOX

Nothing will happen, this season is viewed as somewhat of a success considering they had a horrible first half, they were the best team in the second half of the year and so just because they got the Wild Card, they had the Sox worried for a week or so.

I am a Dodgers fan so as hard as it is to say, I think the Yanks are being overlooked and now they have to play a young, inexperience Indians squad. If they beat the Indians quickly, and then the Sox and Angels continue to beat each other up, they'll be in great shape of going to the American League Championship and go to the World Series.

They're in pretty good shape and so I don't think anything drastic is going to happen. I could see Torre going but, it would have to be his choice.

I see no fallout. All the Yankees have to do is defeat Cleveland, get through either the Red Sox or Angles and reach the world Series. No one will care how the Divisional race ended if that happens.

get out from under your rock weve been content with the wild card for about a week now and after the angels wear down the red sox the yankees will run over the sox assuming they beat the angels and then whatever crappy team the nl coughs up will get swept and well take home number 27 so to answer your question no one gives a fck about the division its all about what you do in the playoffs

Oh, I'm a Yankee Fan, and guess what? I'm answering.

You say all this crap about the Yanks, right? They, so people don't think you're stupid, you give some dumb*** comment about about their bad pitching. It's better than most in the league.

Dude, we really don't give a ****. Ok, we don't. We're still in the playoffs, that's all that matters.

Have fun in LA, I'd be willing to bet you get your ***es handed to you.

well, I'm a die-hard yankee fan... anyway, i think cashman should get fired regardless of how we do in the post season. i think at this point we're just happy to get into the playoffs regardless of failing to win the AL East.
