1.Rivera
2.K-Rod
3.Papelbon
4.Borowski

Borowski is ok but I'm being honest and unbaised here. He isn't the best out of the 4 closers.

First let me say I am an Indians fan. Borowski had some trouble earlier in the season if I remember right but has been impressive recently. Having said that I would pick Mariano Rivera. He has the postseason experience and is an amazing pitcher. He would be my pick all the way. I'm hoping if Cleveland faces the Yankees that Mariano is kept out of the game.

Papelbon has been dominant his whole career, if it wasn't for the hesitation of playing him cause of his history of shoulder injury..he would have the most saves in the league. Rivera has blown a lot of saves lately and his showing signs of aging. Borowski has the saves but isn't exactly a dominant closer like Papelbon. The only closer that would come close to Papelbon is K-Rod, but i still feel Papelbon has the edge.

I'd take K-Rod, he's stuff is sick. He got his saves as a closer in the 2005 post season. He's been there before.

2nd choice, Papelbon - He's been in enough big games before. He's no stranger to pressure.

3rd - Mariano was the best, but he's going downhill. The end is near for him.

Borowski - he's stuffs just average, he gets hit hard at times.

Mariano Rivera! he get's the job done. he's had quite a bit of experience in the playoffs. runner up: Joe Brosowski 42 saves is pretty good for a guy who wasn't expected to record more than 20 saves!

I'm going with someone not on your list--Joba Chamberlain. I feel he can handle it. Joba is mature beyond his years. He's been put in every possible regular season situation and is not phased be any pressure at all. Even when Lowell hit the homer off of him at Fenway, Joba just blew it off and got the next guy out. He's one cool customer and even though he's a rookie,he's something special and I have the utmost confidence in him. I hope he is groomed for Rivera's role, not to be a starter. I have concerns about Rivera,he's had problems with his control this year. I'm thinking perhaps the 2 can work in tandem for the closer role in the post season.

Rivera, though he has started to get torched again after having a real good September. Have to go with the greatest ever, though he certainly has peaked in being a dominating figure.

Personally I would take Joe Nathan of the Twins, but out of these I would take Jonathon Papelbon, very consistent and has one heck of a heater.

regrettably, this coming from a brilliant Yankee fan, Paplebon. He has the main saves interior the AL yet it particularly is barely one stat. yet particularly my opinion is Paplebon. Dont get me incorrect ok-Rod and Mo are tied for 2d. ok-Rod has crushed the yankees interior the previous and that i might say Mo incredibly however the Yanks in basic terms rested him to plenty interior the begining of the season which threw him off. BJ ryan would be third or 4th.

I would go with Papelbon just because he is from my team and he really is very good. He has only had 2 blown saves( I think) and that is good enough for my vote.
