Padres hopefully will lose, but not for the Rockies, for the Mets. The Mets need to win tomorrow and seeing how great they did today, I think they can do it. As long as the Padres lose today and tomorrow then the Mets can tie it up.

Also, correction to the one answer, it was the Brewers that tied up the game at the 9th inning.

Sorry forgot to say what they'll do for a tie, in case of a tie there will be a one game playoff game for the position, in case of a 3-way tie I'm not sure.

The Rockies would play a one game playoff game at the Padres. The pitching matchup would possibly be Tomko, or Cassel for the Padres against Fogg for the Rockies. The winner gets the wildcard and advances to the playoffs while the loser returns home. San Diego just lost and it is rumored that Peavy will start tomorrow. If he doesn't start though, Tomko would and Peavy would be the pitcher for the playoff game against the Rockies, if necessary.

If just two teams tied for the NL wildcard, there'll be a one-game playoff. For your scenario, the Padres visit the Rockies, site predetermined by coinflip.

If more than two teams tie for the wildcard, breaking the tie for the berth requires more games.
