I was reading on nascar.com about Kasey Kahne being sued over supposedly pushing that security guard down to the ground and hes suing him for 15,000 dollars, medical bills, punitive damages and some other things..what I wanted to know is, what does "punitive damages" mean?

Besides Miller, Bud or Coors. Think about their logos, etc. and which brand would have the best looking paint scheme (I'm thinking Guinness would look cool).

I'm sick and tired of having plenty of fine racing series in the world, while America only shows NASCAR in the media, TV, papers, mags, etc. For me, watching racing on TV begins in winter. When NASCAR ends, the racing begins. Seriously, on SPEED, once NASCAR season is over, they begin to show a variety of great recorded races from a variety of fine championships such as DTM, V8 Supercars, Le Mans Endurance, and a few rallies. Why must Europe enjoy rally, F1, GT, touring, prototypes, and even ovals while the majority of the American public must dumb down to ONLY NASCAR ovals. Yes, I know, there are showings of F1, American Le Mans Series, Champ Car, and Indy, but they recieve so little hype and media attention, that nobody notices them (especially ALMS, which is a fine series that is unfortunately neglected).

By the way, like my catchphrase:
"When NASCAR ends, the racing begins."

What do y'all think about that security guard that Kasey "allegedly" shoved to the ground suing him? I think the guy is $$$$$$$$$$$hungry! He claims he hasn't been able to return to work since and he's getting bad-mouthed on web blogs! All he was treated for was bruises and abraisions! Of course he hasn't been to work...There haven't been any races? HMMMMMM......

So Lewis got himself caught speeding in France and was give a civilian license suspension for a month. We know F1 drivers have a "Super License" granted by the FIA in order to race in F1. Is there any clause in F1 that says anything about an F1 driver penalty for civilian infractions?

"Lewis Hamilton has had his driving license suspended after being caught driving 196 kph on the French motorway near Laon. Hamilton had to pay a fine of €600 and he lost his license for a month. According to the police, Hamilton was "very polite and cooperative"."

It's off season so i'm bored but this is cool.

The links further confirm seperating the 'Sprint Cup' and 'Nationwide series' by changing the suspension package and bodystyles for the 'Nationwide series' for '09. Ford is the first to make a statement, stating they will run a Mustang if need be. Chevy is balking on the Camaro at this time but Dodge has acknowledged a Challenger body for Nascar.
Sweet!!
Toyota is stuck with a Camry since the Solara is going to be dropped after '08.

i feel that professional auto racing ,including nascar ,should be bbanned due the inherent risks involved in the sport. each year a handful of drivers are killed in the us and around the world. this can be prevented. also motor racing encourages young people to drive faser than they ordinarily would.

I just moved to St. Augustine and I purchased tickets to the 2008 Daytona 500. Can you bring a camping grill to the parking lot and Bar-B-Q. ? How strict are they with what you can bring into the race track ? How early acn you get to the parking lots ? Thanks
