... The weather can be tricky. It can get warm in spring break and at nights still be cool. What you have to watch for is the sudden cold fronts that comes in. The warm weather will make rain and the cold front can come in and cause ice storms and blizzards.
... In short you need to wait about a week before you decide to camp out and keep up with the forecast. It changes a lot in that time period. Everything above Tupelo MS can easily be subject to snow during that time of year.
... If you rough it in a tent you can always get a 5 pound propane bottle and a small propane heater that will not take up much room and rough it. My brother and dad does that on my brother's land during deer season just for the sport of it. Nothing like waking up in the morning to fresh air.

A couple years ago I drove down from Connecticut for the March race and it was snowing when we got to bristol. We napped in the car when we got there at 7 in the morning but the next night we put up the tent and were comfortable, it warmed up enough. Funny thing was it was warmer in CT the in TN.

I like the second half if the race. There was some good racing and a little drama with the late restarts and questions on fuel milage. The first half had too many cautions and killed the flow of the race. Great call by Kyle's team to make the pit stop when they did.

you really need to keep an eye on what is happening weather wise a week ahead and make a decision, it is more than likely going to be cool at night so tents may be okay if you have plenty of thick blankets, I would go with a pop up though for the better comfort

UMM it really depends, one year it snowed....lol but last year it was cold but not snowy cold, but then it was very hot during the day. We slept in our car last year and was comfortable you would probably be alright in a tent just bring extra blankets!!!!! the thick ones not the thin ones either! ITs a blast!

You never know, I went to the spring race in 2004 and it was 80 degrees. We got sunburned bad. It was nice and cool in the early morning then it warmed up. We went to the Busch and Cup qualifying and it was quite warm. But then one year It snowed. So I would say flip a coin.
