can you bring B-B-Q to Daytona 500.?

I just moved to St. Augustine and I purchased tickets to the 2008 Daytona 500. Can you bring a camping grill to the parking lot and Bar-B-Q. ? How strict are they with what you can bring into the race track ? How early acn you get to the parking lots ? Thanks

I`ve gotten there before daylight and there were already people there,but it will be no problem.I think there is heavy traffic at Daytona from the second week of Jan. on to race day. If you`ve never been to Daytona, It`s one of the better run tracks in the Nascar Program== There are a couple of tracks ,
where they check you as you go in, to see if you have a gun and if you don`t have one they will loan you one but you have to turn it back in when you leave,,,,,,,I`m only kidding;;
you should have a ball,,, also BBQ ing should be no problem

Anything you want into the parking lot. You'll see a whole lot of people BBQing. For the track you're limited to a small cooler, 6 to 8 can capacity. Cans and plastic only, no glass. You can also bring 1 clear bag with you into the track. Don't forget this is per person. Have a good time, maybe we'll see you there.

Grill in the parking lot.. drink in the parking lot.. You can do almost anything @ the track, and in the parking lots with out getting in trouble!!! But this does not include public defication or public smoking (other than cigs)
