Though the Petty Family has the most generations(4-Lee,Richard,Kyle,Adam-RIP) and the Flock Brothers were one of the first with any major success. My vote goes to the Allison family(Bobby,Davey-RIP,Clifford-RIP,and Donnie)have made their mark in racing and with brother Eddie turning wrenches this small back yard shop family made it to the top of the series.

You really HAVE to start with the France family but I'm with PAPABILL on this one. The Allison's were quite the force to be reckoned with and who knows what Davey would have done had he not died so young. I'll also add a shoutout to the Jarretts because both father and son won a championship. Ned could have been one of the best ever if he hadn't retired from racing so early. Of course the Pettys and Earnhardts are up there and we will soon have the Martins, when Matt gets going. Depending on how things play out, the Busch Brothers might end up as one of the best also. The Hendrick family is another one of the greats in racing. Rick started it and it has become the most successful team in the modern era. It's too bad Ricky died in that horrible plane crash because he was being groomed to continue the legacy.

No one is going to mention the Jarretts?
Gee. Ned has two Championships and Dale has one. Ned was an incredible booth announcer when his career ended and provided us with much excitement while in the booth. They are a class act family that has done nothing but good things for NASCAR. Just a thought.

Yes, the Pettys and Earnharts are well known. But don't forget the Allison, Waltrip, Baker, Jarret, Wallace and Hamalton families.
