I'm just really curious as to the different answers. I've been a Gordon fan now for 10 years and all anyone can give me lately is "he's a queer!" "he's the rainbow warrior" or the one that really makes me laugh "he just ain't country!" .. blah blah blah. Give me something better than that.. because all I see is a really great person, an awesome race car driver and an all around WINNER!

Before the chase began, I called Clint Bowyer for the upset, as I am sure many of you remember. I even went as for as to say the 07 would take the lead in the 7th race. I took backlash for it, most positive criticism for my thoughts, but none the less, Bowyer sits in 3rd, 87 points back, on one of Gordons best tracks, neither one has had much bad luck in the chase. What do you think now, given Bowyers' recent performance?

I was reading this article talking about how upset Stewart's team was at Menards for the crash on pit road Saturday. I saw it different and was curious what everyone else saw.

How much different ( better or worse ) would Dale Jr's life be today if he was dealing with his biological mother instead of his stepmother?
Him and his sister Kelley's mother was Dale Sr's second wife, Brenda Gee, daughter of a well know Nascar car builder Robert Gee.
I just think dealing with your real mother would be easier!

I also believe that Jeff Gordon might be taking steroids or performance-enhancement drugs.

Don't get me wrong, I do believe that they have the best out there. But some people act like they're fielding CORvettes while the rest of the teams are fielding CHEvettes. I think that some Jr. fans are in for a rude awakening next year, because the equipment is not the main reason why HMS drivers are so successful. Please don't get me wrong, I like Jr., but I don't think that he's going to experience immediate success once he switches to Hendrick.

Does anyone else think that NASCAR should back-out of their contract with ABC/ESPN due to terrible race coverage and no post race interviews?

hotdog wrappers aside ???

2007-10-15 03:20:42 · 19 answers · asked by Bow-legged Snake 6

...Do you think some fans were trying to get the wrappers caught up in the grill of Bowyers car so his car would over heat since he was running out front?

...Should Nascar had taken a moment to remove the wrappers so it didnt affect the outcome of the race?

Nascar is going to ruin this sport. Why did they change the total laps? So Gordon wouldn't run out of gas!!!!!!!!

The crew chief of the 24 team is an admiited cheat he has been supended and fine numerous time. Is that why the 24 is so good? Or is there something about being in the bent socket society?

2007-10-15 01:14:24 · 28 answers · asked by Anonymous

Every sport seems to have its pitfall. Steroids, scandal, controversy. NASCAR also has had some shaky calls that definitely changed the race. Cautions coming out for "invisible" debris on the track. Running extra laps on caution to keep the lead driver in. Awarding penalties for some drivers and withholding them from others. Now I want your answers...Is NASCAR rigged? Does NASCAR get its drama from fixed races? Or is it all just a "time-and-place" deal? Answer away!!

Which NASCAR drivers do you feel are underated or overated?

2007-10-14 14:29:11 · 26 answers · asked by 24fanjgjb 2

I haven't noticed this on other drivers, but I've noticed that Jeff Gordon, Jimmie Johnson, and Kyle Busch are all sporting star-like logos on the shoulders of their firesuits. You can see this best on the front page kylebusch.com. I haven't noticed this on Casey Mears, their Hendrick's teammate, or any of the other Chase drivers. Does anyone know what this is a logo for?

It seemed to me that Rusty Wallace got overly excited in the Lowe's race Saturday night when Jeff Gordan gave Jr. a pretty good shot in the rear.

I don't think Jeff did it to Jr. to wreck him purposely. Of course Jr. got a bit upset at first, as would most of the drivers would have. Let's face it, Jr. very easily could have lost control of the car and been done for the day.

But, Jeff apologized, and Jr. didn't seem the least little bit like he was out to get even. But, Rusty Wallace seemed like he WANTED Jr. to do just that.....get even. He carried on for a long time, every time Jeff was behind Jr. and ready to pass he talked about how Jeff better make such a "wide" pass, and "he won't want Jr. behind him" etc. Since when has Jr. been some hothead out to get revenge?? I really thought Rusty Wallace was in poor taste.

What did you all think?!

It sure didn't seem fair that the laps changed at the end so Gordon could win before he ran out of gas. I mean there were 3 to go and they only ran 1. Why? So he could win? I am beginning to feel that Nascar is a "fixed" as the WWF
