I think it's sixteen but am not sure. There was a seventeen year old finished second in today's race.
That isn't all that bad of an idea too. I had a friend that started in a series simular to the ARCA, ASA series and he would always go to Daytona and Talladega and try to qualify for the ARCA race there. Some times he'd make it sometimes he wouldn't. I think his best finish was 15th. I'm not sure why he never ran to many other tracks I guess it was the major rush racing at the super soeedways.
Anyway good luck don't forget you now have Hooters cup series too

The correct answer is it depends on the track.
Superspeedway, you must be 18 years old, but I have seen them as young as 15 on the short track, I do not think I have seen any younger than that.
NASCAR has a, you must be 18 to sign a contract rule, however, the racetrack corporations, generally set the age guidelines as to how old you have to be to drive on their track.

18 for speedways (1 mile or longer), 16 for short tracks.
NASCAR has a restriction of 18 on trucks, busch and cup.
