I also believe that Jeff Gordon might be taking steroids or performance-enhancement drugs.

NASCAR is one of the strictest of the sports on drug use. If Gordon failed a test he would be suspended for the rest of the season. I don't think he's on steroids. Hendrick has always been at the top of the sport and some of their crew chiefs find ways to get that little added extra (sometimes not within the rules). Jeff Gordon is good and for the last 2 weeks he was very lucky because he did not have the fastest car at either Talladega or Charlotte and still won the race. He shows no signs of steroid use.

OMG! I'm not a Gordon fan but I'm sticking up for Jeff with this rediculous question. Give me a break - Jeff is fit, he's average height and built, there is no physical evidence of him using steroids. What are people coming to?

He's not a cheater...his team (as well as all of HMS) is just really good at playing just within the scope of what is legal on the templates!! Sometimes they get caught outside the lines like they did earlier this year.

However, like they say in Nascar, if you aint cheatin-you aint tryin!!!!

Also, I do believe he cheated throughout much of the 90's and so does Nascar. They made the specific "Jeff Gordon rule" in the late 90's after many of his championships stating that a driver cant get on the roof of their car to celebrate after a race. Gordon for years would jump up and down on the roof of his car in victory lane and Nascar discovered that maybe his cars were set up to low in height compared to the template...but since he would beat the roof down in victory lane it would be damaged before post race inspection!!!

Not a cheater. He grew up in Area 51, has radioactive thought waves.
People just love to pick on top performers. Like Alex Rodriguez. He carried the Yankees for tth first two months, ends up with 56 HR, 156 RBI, has an off playoff series, and he's being crucified.

No, I've never seen him cheat and I'm not a fan of any HMS driver! I'm sure he has, but not anymore than the other drivers.
I won't even entertain the drug use question!
The facts are that he now has 81 cup wins. That's only two away form Cale Yarborough's 83 cup wins. It' is only a matter of time before he passes that record and moves on to the next one.
He is still young!!!
He is just a flat good driver with the best equipment! To be mentioned in the same breath as Cale is truly an honor in itself. Of course I'm biased because Cale was the man when I first started watching Nascar and I was his number 1 fan!!!

I highly doubt the steroid thing he only weighs a buck fifty and some change. I also consider Any Body But Gordon a good thing but, feel he just gets in the car and drives it. All that cheating stuff is done by engineers and crew chief types.

Absolutely NOT!!!!!!!

I can't believe the length that some people will go just because their favorite driver isn't winning. I'm sure if someone else was having a great season, it would be their name in the question and not Jeff's.

LOL...if he is using steriods he needs his money back.. This is racing everyone has cheated sometime or bent the rules alittle come on...But a chronic cheater....no...He just has HMS and the best stuff out there.. The only performance enhancing stuff he has been around is his 24 energy drink (which this Jr fan likes)..This is what happens when you win people say you cheat..its just a fact of life..I guess next yr Jr will be a cheater too when he wins...geez.

Go Dale Jr & HMS 2008

Drivers drive the car and that is it. There only a hand full of the drivers in the garge area that could change a tire.

No he is not a cheater. Just a winner.

And I think the steroids have gone to your brain if you think Jeff is on steroids.
