No. Nascar is not rigged. You should try scanning the Nascar race officials and especially David Hoots the race director sometime. They do a great job on race day. You can tell by listening to them that it is equal for everyone.

No...
There are far too many variables that NASCAR itself can not control. For example, a tire goes flat, the engine encounters problems, those are two thing amongst a list of many other things that could go wrong for a car that ppl might think is getting the nod for a particular race.
It was rumored/speculated that Jr. was getting a "Special" plate at plate races because he his car was so strong outside of the draft and his car couldn't be caught.
Was the race fixed? No.
Imo, driver talent/skills has a lot to do with how a car will perform. If the car is dialed in, the car can be pushed to it's limits, unlike a car that might be loose or too tight, the set up makes a world of difference.
As I already wrote, for NASCAR to even try to "fix" a race would be ridiculous, because NASCAR can't control the
"what ifs' that could happen.

If nascar was fixed, wouldnt Clint Bowyer have won at Kansas? But the number 16 won and he was out of gas. If Nascar was rixed would they let Jr miss the chase? If Nascar was fixed wouldn't they let a Toyota win a race this year? If nascar was fixed wouldn't they add more drama to it (Causing fights and then having them race next to each other on the track)?
Bottom line is that if Nascar was fixed it would be a whole different show than we are seeing today. Money = Speed, and wins. Multi-car teams have 3-4 times as much info as single car teams resulting in better info for everyone. Its like those teams get 3-4 times as much practice as the single car teams...
If some of you people honestly think its fixed, you're living in a fantasy world. I think one person said it the best, its Nascar inconsistency with some of their rules that makes one think from time to time. But what comes around goes around, and everything works full circle... if one driver was helped by it this time, the next time he will probably be hurt by it.

maybe they don't "fix it",,,but they sure help the GM teams with the rules,,,if a FORD or DODGE start to win races,,they make a rule change to help "even" out the field,,,,,and look at some of the races that have had a caution flag come out for a "mystery" reason when some one other a Hendricks driver is leading,,,I think NASCAR,and the France family want only GM cars to be on the race track,,NASCAR is a joke any more, cookie cutter cars,,,might as well be watching one of those IROC races!!

FIXED, no. There is way too much money involved for a fix.
NASCARs problem is grey area. They interpret the rules as they wish and then they change the rules several times during the course of a season or a race.
There getting better though.

It would serve no purpose for NASCAR to fix races, unless it was to benefit their biggest money source. If that were the case, Dale Jr would not only be in the Chase this year, he would have won all the races.
There was a time, earlier this season when "debris" was found, to tighten up the pack, but that hasn't happened since Smoke mentioned it on his radio program.
In the big picture, there is no reason or benefit to NASCAR to fix the outcome of the race. All the questionable calls have just been judgement calls, and you get those in every sport.

No its just the fans way of venting their complaints because their favorite driver isnt winning!!! It is just like Base Ball on the Little league level. I am an umpire for 33 years now and it goes like this. The little league team players misses catching fly balls--they miss ground balls they throw the ball 10 feet over the 1st basemans head. They do not swing at the ball when its right down the middle of the plate--their teams pitcher couldnt throw a strike if his life depended on it and they lose 15-0 and guess what!!!! IT IS THE UMPIRES FAULT!!!! Same thing here in Nascar--Bad pitstops--the driver wrecks--the engine blows --the tires blow--they use bad pit strategy on fuel--dont make the right adjustments-and they come in 18th or 22nd in the race and someone else wins the race--GUESS WHAT!!!!---ITS THE NASCAR OFFICIALS FAULT!!!!

Inconsistencies with their rulings and actions on and off the track are certainly going raise flags for conspiracy theorists but I do not think the powers that be in NASCAR are doing anything shady.
When you have drivers that fans love to hate getting what appears to be breaks or preferential treatment, those fans are going to scream foul and rightfully so. Until NASCAR can treat each situation the same each time they are faced with a decision, some fans are going to think the worse.

Great Q and my answer is I think they do fix it and until they can convince me they don't the answer is a big fat YES.
And by the way I don't need to listen to some NASCAR employ scanner to change my feelings buba. Have you ever heard of the NBA.
I don't think saying if it was rigged Jr would be in it has anything to do if it's rigged or not. You can not fix that with all the engine trouble he's had. And this idea probably come from a Jr basher anyway.
I am going to stop right here because this is the third time I have started to answer this and my Q just got way to long and carried away with facts from yesterday to to days NASCAR.
