I do definetly how many points is he behind, I just wish hed have more confidence in his abilities that he can beat both Gordon and Johnson.
He didnt seem to think he had much of a chance reading a quote from him in an article I read this past week on yahoo sports that Bowyer had said he didnt think it was likely behind Gordon and Johnson and thats a shame because you need that fire in your soul to be a champion.
Im not a fan of Stewarts but I know he wouldnt have made a comment like that.
I really hope he does and im guessing theirs alot out their like me that arent even really fans of Bowyer but would love to see him put those Hendrick monopolizers on notice.
That Rick Hendricks so damn smug, how couldnt you want someone to knock him off his pedistal.

He got part of what he needed, a slip up from Jimmie Johnson. Jeff Gordon doesn't even need a major problem for Clint to be leading this thing because it is SO close. I really thought Clint was going to pass Gordon when Jeff spun his tires on that last restart but I think he was being overly cautious with everything that's at stake right now. He has a definite chance to win, though he probably wouldn't even be a favorite if he was leading the points. The poise he has shown is a testament to his confidence in his team (although the engine department gave him a good scare at Talladega) and vice versa.

He's got a decent chance, but it'll take some bad luck on the part of Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson. Not to mention a near perfect finish to the chase for Bowyer.

...Yes he has a great chance. All it takes is a slip-up from Jeff and Jimmy and he's there. The chase is far from over. Anything can happen. Nobody as far as I know is mathematically eliminated.
...There are "possibilities" remaining for most of the drivers to still win the chase. The "probabilities" are good for maybe the top 4.

I think Gordon will probably win but Bowyer still has a shot.

I hate to hear that he is lacking confidence. I think that is the most important of all. He has certainly made a name for himself regardless. Maybe if Jeff had a bad race and Clint was in the points lead (though it would be tight) he would get that "fire" that somebody else was talking about. Wouldn't that make things interesting!

Tina has it right, and ya know my favorite racer in the #24 Chevy has slipped up a time or two (see Watkins Glen for reference).
I hope Jeff wins it, but I'd have no problem with "Lil Jack" taking the Cup. A true "car guy".

I do....I'm cheering for him all the way.. He is such a great guy.. Besides I want everyone to have to eat crow, when they all said who is this guy, he hasn't even won a race, no body was giving him any chance to win the championship....Go get 'um Clint show them you can beat the best of them and win the Cup....

Yes he does. He's a good driver with a good attitude. Hate his car though...lol
I'm rooting for Jeff as always but it is nice to see a nice clean decent driver having a good year.
At least it aint Stewart/Hamilin/Shrub/Harvick....
