I wasn't a Earnhart fan: but he was probably the best at getting the most out a car there have ever been. I wonder how many races he won by just putting a little pressure on someone. When the track got slick, it was all over but the crying. NASCAR lost a true Legend and Gentleman. The wreck Dale had was all most the same spot as Neil's wreck. I was there for both. The race (Dale) and practice (Neil). GO DALE Sr.

Well, Mr. Dale Earnhardt, Sr. is probably rolling over in his grave knowing what Teresa is doing to his children. Dale, Jr. is doing a great job trying to "right" things with everyone & he's in the correct position to do so.

If Dale, Sr. didn't hit that wall, I think he would have won a few more races and then proceeded to "oversee" DEI & it would be better today. Michael Waltrip would still be there too!

If Sr. was still alive:

1) DEI would be running right.
2) Earnhardt Jr. and Truex Jr. wouldn't have had so many blown engines.
3) Earnhardt Jr. would remain at DEI under the Bud contract, so Kasey Kahne would still be driving for Dodge as his main sponsor next year.
4) Rubbin' would still be racin'.

If he had not died.. No one would be comparing him and Jeff Gordon...Dale Sr might have won another championship..He would have retired and would be running DEI and not Teresa, and Dale Jr would still be there, and he would find a way to make DEI's equipment as good as HMS.. Unfortunately he did die, I was at that dreadful race in Daytona..R.I.P Dale Sr you will always be the greatest, you were taken from us way to soon....

As much as I respect Dale Sr., the odds of him winning another championship were very slim. He'd have retired a couple of years later, and would have made DEI one of the major players in NASCAR.

he would still be alive! Junior would still be at D.E.I along with Kevin Harvick, a little sometimes not heard of fact, Dale Sr got Kevin his ride with RCR, he told Richard if he didn't put that kid in a car he would.

D.E.I would have championships,

2001 could have been his year for his 8th cup and DEI
would be run properly. Jr. would still be at DEI and Teresa
would still be handling the money.

Jeff Gordon wouldn't have won any races? Too bad SR is gone, maybe he could have given his son some helpful advice.
