does it mean doom?
Remember in 2004 when the Red Sox were doomed because the Yankees signed some guy (an average player, think his name was like Allen Rodrigo) and the Red Sox were "doomed" how did that work out for them in '04?

to the winning of the trophy? I read on Yahoo sprts on Dec.07,2007 that Reggie Bush might be the first to loose his Heisman for not fulfilling a business agreement. But what does that have anything to do with him winning the Heisman? Shouldn't business be kept separate from awards already won ? Or does it depend on the whole character thing ? A relative of mine agreed with me that he won the Heisman fair and square and the canceled business venture has nothing to do with it.

I know there's a lot of hype on them going undefeated but there's no way in hell I would risk a possible Super Bowl appearance and my star qb for it. In week 17 undefeated or not I would sit Brady.

10. Depth (We have not played with a full roster all year)
9. Team Defense (Best in NFL)
8. LB (Always among the best in ther NFL)
7. Pressure on Bardy (he can't throw from his back)
6. Running Game (Willie, Najeh)
5. Anthony Smith (You will all know who he is after Sunday)
4. Hines Ward (Complete WR)
3. Heath Miller (Best TE in the league)
2. Big Ben (A complete QB)
1. More Complete team and we don't have to cheat!

Any other reasons?...try to look at this game with unbiased views, you will agree the Steelers have the better all-around team, even with key injuries.

Feel free to add to my list, or even create your own.

Pats fans, what would be your top ten reasons why you will win?

I do not report people, so I welcome all opinions, just have some class when answering, huh?

The boots I'm using are probably a few years old..they were given to me. I want to cross country ski but I also don't want to break my ankle and I wonder if they make a supportive boot that would give me more support or is this something that I will overcome with practice.

You are the general manager of a NHL franchise. On your roster you have a veteran player who has done all that has been asked of him throughout his career. However, he has been scratched for a handful of games this season, and has lost a step or two. On top of that, he's not producing and you have a youngster down in the AHL who can be as much or even more productive at the NHL level than your underproductive vet. Do you keep the vet on the roster because of what he has meant to your team, or do you show him the door in favor of the youngster? What would you do?

One of the most overused terms in sports is superstar. In the NFL, if a player has ONE good season, they are automatically anointed star status. Pretty much the same inane reasoning is put forth in the other sports as well. Hockey has somewhat taken the same boring path, but the anointed have truly become superstars. What is your definition of a superstar? Does each team possess a superstar based on your definition? Finally, who are the true superstars playing in the NHL?

Has this ever happened before?

I was watching a game between the Penguins and the Flames where there were two goalie injury time outs within a span of about a minute. The Penguin goalie landed on his ankle wrong while attempting a save and had to leave the game. The Flames goalie took a high stick to the neck, but was able to stay in.

But, suppose both of those incidents happened to one team and the high stick had been more serious. How would a team be able to continue play? The above happened in the second period, so it's not like you could just play with an empty net with half of the game remaining.

I'm tired of all the "I didn't hear anything from Patriots fans before they got good" BS. Why? Because people who root for teams that aren't doing well tend to do the smart thing and keep their mouths shut. Seriously, what do the Dolphins have to brag about this season? But I'd put money on it that if they do well in the future all the quiet fans would get loud again. And if the Pats do bad in future seasons, I'll bet that Pats fans get quiet again. You shouldn't run your mouth if you have nothing to back it up with, right?

Anyone agree with me?

well i know his numbers are average and probably not HOF worthy, but, he had many clutch hits throughout his career and also held many post season records when he retired.( bernie williams has since passed most of them). he is a first time canidate for the class of 2008 and in my opinion he should be in. he is in the top 100 in most offensive catergories and with his clutch performances and leadership in the dug-out, along with 14 solid years of play i think he deserves to be in. What do you think?
