I have you know that those two words describe a TRUE fan - no matter who you're rooting for.
If you spend Saturday after Saturday watching the game and cheering AND you actually have something to cheer about, you *should* be arrogant and think that your team is the best. Case and point: Austin N. (lol).
As far as ignorance is concerned, it's not a crime to think that your team is flawless, the school's tradition is storied and that the team deserves all good things. Ignorance is bliss, you know. (And in theatre, this phenomenon is called suspension of disbelief...I like that term better).
Case and point: I personally know many U of M fans who, after the first two stunning losses of the season, were still hedging their bets for a Big Ten title as well as a good bowl. Some might call that ignorant, but that's being a die-hard fan and you've got to respect that.
All I'm trying to say is that you cannot get down on OSU fans because we're believers. We don't over-analyze, we don't split hairs, we don't nit-pick. That's our team. Period. You can name call all you want and nothing you say is going to sway our loyalty. Have you ever heard the Bible verse to "walk by faith and not by sight"?
VERY apropos.
If you're not arrogant/ignorant about your team, then are they REALLY "your team"?
Cheers!

last time I checked all I have heard from SEC fans is trash talk and stupid things like why should OSU show up this question is exactly what you people are called redneck inbreds. I really hope the Buckeyes win mostly for the fact you won't be on here after LSU loses, because your a fairweather fan which is what most SEC fans are. They call teams out for losing one game when they lost 2, they think not matter what the higher ranked team will win.
when you learn something about football and sportsmanship please let me know maybe we can have an intelligent discussion. I seriously doubt anything intelligent ever coming out of your mouth.

I'm sure there are some OSU fans that fit in each category, I for one am an OSU fan and I fit in neither so what does that make me? Every team has arrogant and ignorant fans so what's your point?
You can't say much, you seem to be a little of both yourself!

I wouldnt call the SEC fairweather fans for many reasons. An example: Alabama hasnt won an SEC championship since 1999 but they still sell out their 92,138 tickets every game. In fact, the SEC has the record for all time tickets sold. University of Alabama has sold out every game at Bryant-Denny Stadium since 1997. Same goes for Auburn, Georgia, LSU, Tennessee, Kentucky....week in and week out tickets are always sold, win or lose.
To tell you the truth, Ohio State isnt as good as they were last year. The top two teams went Florida (date-raping Ohio State as then-Heisman had more interceptions than completions) then LSU (because of the stomping they put on ND 42-14). LSU will beat Ohio State because they DO look superior...i hope they do because they ruined Alabama's season...lol

Not true my friend , I am a Buckeye Fan raised in Ohio and have lived in Southern California for about 20 years now , Pac 10 fans are worse I see it first hand , my travels put me on USC and UCLA campus UCLA fans are pretty cool but USC fans are complete jerks they truly think they are better than you plus it does not make them happy that I always have a Buckeye hat on or a Polo Shirt with the Scarlet And Gray when I know I am going to be on Campus , I have even met Pete Carol a few times and he jokes with me about it , oh well in general I would have to say from personal experience that Pac Ten are way worse and they tend to jump on and off the bandwagon quite often as well , but that is the way most sports fans are here in Los Angeles .
Have a Great Weekend.

Not at all. I find the good people at Oklahoma State University to be a breath of fresh air in these days of illiterate and obnoxious fans. You want to meet a douchebag, talk to a Packer or Steeler fan.

Arrogance.
I don't think Ohio State fans are ignorant at all.
They have a right to be somewhat arrogant...their team is #1 and going to the NC. It doesn't make it right, but the truth is not always the best answer.
