Even if the Red Sox get Santana, it doesn't guarantee they will win another World Series, but it does improve their already good pitching staff but they still have to play the games. Just adding Santana doesn't guarantee any titles. Remember how the Braves had the best pitching in baseball & they only won 1 World Series with all that great pitching they had. I don't think Santana will end up in Boston or new York. I don't see either team giving up what the Twins want in exchange for him. This is only my opinion though

you're saying "while Hughes throws a no-hitter" FYI he grow to be into the seventh inning w/ a no hitter in his 2d commence earlier injuring his hamstring. merely like Buchholtz. as quickly as lower back - get your info without delay. Hughes is an ace in the making. despite if we don't get Santana i'm happy w/ conserving Hughes. he would be greater effectual than Santana in 3 years or so, and we would have him for his complete profession, while Santana would be executed in approximately 7. long term or short term - the two way the Yankees win. The Sox are merely attempting to improve the fee for the Yankees. there is not any longer besides they get Santana. stop dwelling in a delusion land and stop performing like a baseball beginner. playstation - it is the 1st time i've got agreed w/ Frizzer. he's in lots of cases misinformed, yet he's right. the yank's grant is plenty greater effectual than the Sox. Melky is merely as solid as Ellsbury w/ plenty greater shown journey and is farther alongside in his progression. Hughes makes it a much greater effectual deal with the aid of fact the Sox won't incorporate Buchholtz. it would take Ellsbury and Buchholtz to verify the Melky, Hughes deal and the Sox merely won't do it. Admit it... you have misplaced this one.

Doom for who?
The Red Sox? No, it means adding another ace to their line-up and absolutely increasing their odds of returning for more WS titles.
The remaining teams in the league? No, no player can single handedly influence a league... but, that sure wouldn't be a good thing other AL East teams having to face Santana 4-5 times a year and Beckett 4-5 times a year.

Don't know why he wouldn't sign with the BoSox. He makes a power house team even stronger. He could get a couple of rings, something that would not happen in Minnesota. He is the best pitcher in the AL.

It's pretty clear - any team that gets Jonan Santana for basically unproven players at the big league level becomes a better team.

Although I would say that there are no guarantees involving the Red Sox, I will say that any team would be a better team with Santana on their pitching staff.

Signing Santana would almost certainly make them the favorites to go to the World Series next year and contenders the next several years.

It means, there should be a salary cap in baseball.
It's not fair when a team like the Yankees can have 3x the amount of money to spend than another team. ie. NY - 180 mill payroll CLE - 60 mill.

No as a Yanks fan it would be doom for us. He is too solid, and that would sure up their pitching even more. It would mean total domination for years to come... and to the idiot who couldn't think of a reason to sign.. are you frigging kidding me. He is the most dominant pitcher this decade, and though his twilight may or may not be passed, they don't want to see him in the same division.
