I thought I'd post some interesting coments made by Henry Ellis Sensei on Modern Aikido in an article by the same name as the question and see what you think:

"I am fully aware that every martial art has its own ver of Harry Potter, what i fail to understand is that there are more of them in aikido than in all other martial arts combined"

Sorry, I am not a real baseball fan, but starting to get there. I am a statistics and number guy though, and I see some things that don't seem right. Such as a pitcher having 5 shut out innings, then a couple of pitchers after him give up a couple of runs, then one pitcher pitches one inning with no runs or hits and is given the win. What sense does this make. I am not complaining, I just want to understand how you can pitch a shut out for more than half a game and lose out on the win to a guy that pitched one good inning. I don't get it, please educate me.

i think th elogic of this martial art is soo peacful and i really like it..not attacking but still stopping a conflict but i'm also looking for a mixture of attack and defense..i'v heard of Aikido "Aikikai" wich includes samurai sword...isint' tht the case to all aikido tranings?
and if it's just defensive can u please help me find another martial art?( i lvoe samurai swords katana btw lol)

Was this a good call to bring the center fielder to the infield just behind second base?

I've seen shallowing the outfield a lot in this situation, but not so much the 5 infielder setup (seems like a little league defense). It seems like that you have two choices, take away the bloop shot in the outfield (shallow the outfield) or take away the passed groundball (the 5th infielder).

Help me out with the pros and cons of the defensive setup and what the best call would be in this situation. I'm mostly trying to evaluate the Reds new manager.

My friend is going camping and wants me to find a filter thing for water. I have looked all over the net and no luck. She got this from a fishing store in Bishop California and wants it again but we don't know the name. So it is a water filter that is maybe 6" high by 3" or so across. It is round and made of fiber the kind of thing that has folds from top to bottom. white in color with a little spout (nipple) on top that hooks to a hose. So I guess you have 2 containers one that you drop this filter in with dirty water and another on to recieve the clean water. from the hose.
I have no idea how this works but that is how I remember she explains it. She said its great and you don't have to pump. Okay!!!! I don't camp so I am probably explaining this all wrong....
So all you campers does this sound like something you know about and where we can get it from....
