me 4 fun, if you are so fed up with barry questions, why answer? this actually my only question involving barry bonds, so before you go and annoy the hell out of people who don't care what you have to say about barry bonds, think twice, and keep your keyboard dedicated to the marriage and divorce section.

i personally want bonds to break the record, in fact shatter the record. i live in san francisco and he is quite frankly the best player to ever live.

I would be upset because I am a Braves fan and know Hank Aaron did not use performance enhancing substances when he hit 755 home runs. Since Bonds' home runs soared to 73 in 2001 and had never hit more than 47 a year up to that point, I'd suggest taking 26 home runs away from him and then have him break the record. He is a liability for the Giants. He should retire right now instead of trying to break the record. When he does the critics will come out of the woodwork demanding and asterisk by his name. People kind of forgot that McGuire used performance enhancing substances because he didn't get close to Aaron's record. I know you are a Giant and Barry fan, but that's how I feel, and I acknowledge that Bonds was one of the best ever with or without steroids. Had he not used these substances, I would not mind him passing Aaron.

I would feel like I've been cheated. The home run record has been hyped and hyped for the last couple of years, and I personally would love to see Bonds break the record. I'm on the edge of my seat so much that I check the internet daily to see how Bonds did. And I'm not even a Giants fan. I'm simply a baseball fan that is grateful to be living in a time where this record is going down.

I'm in the minority here, I'm sure, but I'd be disappointed as will every other fan who enjoys being awed by the best talent and who has ever actually watched the guy bat. His quickness is unbelievable, better than anybody else I've seen and probably better than anybody who has ever played. He can wait a moment longer than other batters to read the pitch before committing, then swat at the ball with those incredibly quick wrists. It is sad that the HRs have actually detracted from his place in history; the guy was and is an incredible hitter whether or not his records are PED enhanced.

I do hope that before anybody responds that steroids have anything to do with that quickness and talent they actuall do a little reading about how steroids can help a batter.

There have been a lot of Bonds questions, whether you asked them or not. With that being said, I would be disapointed if he ended up tied with Hank for the all-time lead. Whether u like it or not he's going to break the record so questions like this one don't even matter. He's not going to tie and quit unless its due to a career ending injury, which would be highly unlikely. If it happens I'd be kind of disapointed that the biggest record in all sports is now shared until A-Rod comes along to break it.

People would feel amazed that a player could hit 15 hopmeruns in 15 games.

People would also be angry at Bonds because he used sterioids to help him get 755 and America would feel weird because two players tied for the biggest baseball record.

He should just fade away in the sunset. But if he doesnt there are just a limited teams with openings for him, and Oakland would be the most likely one...He will have to take a huge hit on salary becuase there are better players out there to fill a DH role, and you would be buying his legacy more than his potential. He wants 3000 hits and I understand that...but he brings a lot of baggage, his legs are shot and once you hit the 40s, you can go way down very quickly. There is nothign worse than seeing a great player( I dispise Bonds but he was a great player) go into June batting .185 with 3 hrs and 10 rbis. It happened to Ruth, it happened to Mays, it happened to Banks, and think of how much the Yankees are paying Clemens to win a handful of games for them. sometimes its just better to retire and enjoy what you have done

I would not care, after him missing the past 3 games with the Cubs (except one pinch hit), I am highly disappointed, was looking forward to seeing him try. They say he is going to play today, but I think that is just because Bonds is 4-8 with 2 homers against Lilly in his career other wise he probably wouldn't be playing today either. Hey what do I know, he might change his mind again. Not that it matters now MLB extra innings is not free now and it ain't on WGN so I won't see it.

I would feel good that he didn't pass Aaron. Although it wouldnt matter much to me, because I know A-rod is going to hit 800 by the time he's done, so what Bonds does is mute in my opinion.

That would suck. I hate Bonds and I don't want to see him break the record, but a tie is like kissing your sister.
