Well I've been thinking of trying out for track but I don't know if I'd be good at it. So I was wondering what goes on during try outs and what goes on during practice so I could see if I'm actually ready for track.

i am a freshmen and joined track this semester "about 2 months ago" i had no idea i wanted to join. i wasnt even a good runner before high school. when i started high school about 8 months ago my best mile time was 8:00 after trying hard in P.E. at the end of the semester my best time was 7:15 in the two months i have been in track my best mile time now (two months after 7:15) is 6:00 is that a good time for someone in track? when i compete i come in like place 11 out of 15 and thats REALLY BAD! but is my time bad? i am really slow my best quarter mile time is 80 seconds, lol. I just have lots of stamina or whatever as told so by my freinds. sice i am good for running long distances before getting tired all i need is speed so 1. are my times good and do you think ill improve more and 2. do u have any tips on how i can get faster other than just keep practicing "herd it too many times..." thnx

How awesome is GA? He makes 10 dollar bets with fans that he will make a game winner during a game, he gives money to police stations for better equipment w/o telling anybody, he says hes going to score 50 every other night (and even if he doesnt, its still funny), he goes back to where he grew up to play ball w/ the kids, and he challenges teammates for 50 grand shooting one handed and wins (if you didnt see the video look on youtube)...

In a day in age when players get arrested every other week, fighting in games and cheating on their wives, this guy is actually a positive role model.

This has been bothering me for a while. I can see how Darko Milicic sucks cause he cannot rebound, defend, pass, or play basketball. Yet Kobe Bryant was drafted from college, has been to several all star games, has had multiple all defensive team nominations, has been all star MVP, has won a few scoring titles, and it seens as if he can put up 50 point on any given night while still shooting at around .500. If all this is true ( which it is), then please tell me why Kobe Bryant suck as a player again??
